As you might know, mid-way through the third season, Redd Foxx lefted the series, and they focused on Grady. So comes this question, which one is better running the junkyard/show; Fred/Redd Foxx, or Grady/Whitman Mayo? Fred was better.

Recently Nick at Nite or TV Land has been playing the "Grady episodes". I had caught them once, but never understood when and why it happened. I assumed Foxx left for some reason or another, but I never found out why, or what part of the series it was during. I have really started to like Grady as the main player. Redd Foxx has some priceless episodes of course, as well, but sometimes I really don't find some of his catch phrases all that funny, and even more so, sometimes they take away from the comedy completely. I like the show in either case, but Grady is growing on me. How about you? Jared

Redd Foxx left the series in the middle of season 3 , because he had a contract dispute with the producers & NBC. He came back in the fourth episode of season 4.
