"Exactly why I watch this series"
This episode is about Fred getting used to Lamont's new friend and neighbor Julio. Things don't seem to be getting off to a good start so Julio invites Fred to go to dinner with him and Lamont to a mexican restaurant which turns out to be a disaster.

Happy Birthday, Pop
"Exactly why I watch this series"
This episode is about Lamont trying to show his father a good time for his 65th birthday. At first Fred doesn't think Lamont remembers. Then when they go out fred finds some way of lousing up the whole evening.

"Exactly why I watch this series"
Fred follows Lamont and Rollo to a movie tryout, which turns out to be an illegal porno operation. The place gets raided by the police and all three of our heroes go jail leaving Aunt Esther as their only hope for freedom. Oh the indignity!

"Off the wall"
All I can say that this is the only show on TV Land that's better than The Andy Griffith Show,All in the Family, and Leave it to Beaver combined.

"Influential"
This tv show was about junk. Well not exactly. Sanford and Son was a cool show for the working men and women out there trying to make ends meet. Father and son in the world of junk. Nothing but a good time. And lots of laughs if you grew up around there.

Good
Sanford and Rising Son
"Above average"
One of my favorites, has a better mix of story and classic Redd Foxx delivery than some of the weaker episodes.

Have Gun, Will Sell
"Exactly why I watch this series"
This is possibly the funniest episode of the series. You get the first appearance of Rollo, along with short visits by the "ghetto officers" Smitty and Swanny. Not to mention the great play off the stereotype of a black man with a gun.

A Guest in the Yard
"Not my favorite storyline"
I was not crazy about this episode, but the man who played the "bum" did a very good job. However, for some reason it didn't tickle my fancy.

The Card Sharps
"Exactly why I watch this series"
This is one of the funnier episodes in the series in my opinion. Fred pulls a fast one on Lamont and his stuck-up buddies, and then Fred's buddy pulls a fast one on him. Quite a few changes and twists in the plot, anda pretty original ending.

A Pad for Lamont
"Alternate reality"
When I see this episode, I think of the saying, "the grass is always greener on the other side". Due to privacy issues and Fred's interference, Lamont wants his own space, causing Fred to almost beg him to stay, but then freedom affects Fred another way.

Great
A Matter of Life and Breath
"Exactly why I watch this series"
All the episodes where Fred is sick, plays sick, or is convinced he is sick are my favorites. There is a part of Redd Foxx's acting that seems to explode when he does that "overacting" thing that he does so well. And this is no exception.

The Copper Caper
"Above average"
The salvagers are buying copper from a man passing through the area. However, it is not until the end that they find out where the copper is coming from. And they also find out that they no longer have water available in their kitchen.
