Julio's house has been transformed into Fred and Lamont's boarding house called The Sanford Arms. Now they've come to the task of finding some boarders and soon find themselves bombarded with an endless supply of crazies, including a hooker, an ex-con, a hippie, a newlywed couple, and Hoppy's eccentric mother.

Although next door neighbor Julio was a frequent character in seasons 2-4, no scenes ever took place in Julio's house. There are two scenes in this episode that take place inside the Sanford Arms which was Julio's house.

Arnold Johnson makes his first appearance in the recurring role of George F. Hutton. Fred's nickname for him is "Hutch."

Nancy Kulp makes her first appearance in the recurring role of Mrs. Hopkins, Officer Hopkins' mother. She is also better known for her role on The Beverly Hillbillies.
