Birth Name: Sarah Galbraith Buxton
When Sarah was 15, a Hollywood manager "discovered" her in a supermarket. Previously a gymnast and Olympic hopeful, Buxton was already familiar with the regimented schedule of rehearsal and thus made a smooth transition from one performing art to the other.
Her first on-screen appearance was in a Coke commercial, and she soon thereafter scored a role in the television pilot "Too Good to Be...
Sarah says her biggest fear is heights. She is so incapacitated by her fear that she can't even look out of a window when she is on a high floor in a building, nor can she ever be seated next to a window on an airplane.
(edit)
Sarah says that the fun in playing bad girls is that she gets to do things she wouldn't in real life, although she's not all "sugar and spice" off-camera either.
(edit)
Sarah once dated Davis Factor, heir to the Max Factor fortune, and co-founder of Smashbox Cosmetics.
(edit)
Sarah says she relates very well to "Lucy" from I Love Lucy because trouble always follows her around, just as it always did with "Lucy."
(edit)
Sarah has been nominated for two Soap Opera Digest Awards, both in the category of "Outstanding Villainess". First in 1998 for playing "Annie" on Sunset Beach, and then in 2001 for playing "Morgan" on The Bold and The Beautiful.

Sarah Buxton: (on her "Sunset Beach" character) It’s a role that is a lot of fun to play. Annie, has many different sides to her. I have to be mean and nasty and sexy and conniving. But, that just makes the role a lot more challenging for me. I think we all have different facets to our personality, including some we never show. Changing your personality for the character is just something you get into when you are acting.
(edit)
Sarah Buxton: The very first time I acted was in first grade. We did a play called The Coins of Lin Foo. All the kids living on my street acted in it. This little boy was playing Lin Foo, and at the last minute chickened out. I knew all his lines, so I put on this boy's wig and I played Lin Foo.
(edit)
Sarah Buxton: (on her famous "whipped cream" scene on "Sunset Beach") It was exciting. I was in a hotel room, and I'm standing there about four hours. I had a lot of fun - it was really silly. I feel like I'm in I Love Lucy sometimes; that's what Annie seems like to me lately. I think that's great because I love comedy.
(edit)
Sarah Buxton: Soap operas are the hardest job as an actor. We'd have 40 to 75 pages of dialogue. The memorization part's just the beginning of the work. Then we would just try to make sense of it every morning, which was completely insane.
(edit)
Sarah Buxton: (on the last days of "Sunset Beach") This was a great working machine. People loved each other, and that's so hard to find. I'll really miss it.
