Born in Overland Park, Kansas, moved to Virginia at 4. Sarah grew up in Mission Viejo, California. Sarah enjoys dancing, has more than 8 years of training in ballet and jazz and performed in several theatrical productions as dancer, including I Love Dance at Caesar's Palace and Les Artists Theatrical.

Sarah has appeared in numerous print ads before her acting career began as guest in Saved by the Bell: The New (1993). She became a regular the following season. In 2003, Sarah became a regular character on The WB's Everwood portraying Madison Kellner. She was also on the CBS show Dr. Vegas, portraying Veronica Harold.

From 2006-2007 Sarah appeared in ABC's What About Brian where she played unattainable love interest Marjorie to Barry Watson's Brian. Sarah lives in Burbank, California and is co-starring in the NBC comedy-spy series Chuck, as the lead character's sister, Ellie. Born in Overland Park, Kansas, moved to Virginia at 4. Sarah Lancaster has improved as she's gotten older. Her first tv show of importance was Saved by the Bell: The New Class. This was a teen Saturday morning show. It didn't need great actors to survive. Later on, she was found on the teen drama, Everwood. Her acting had improved since SBTB and the level of the show she was on had, too. Now, she is on the show What About Brian and from what I've heard it is a good show. Sarah Lancaster is moving up in the world. For Sarah fans, that's a good thing! It is my opinion the she is here to stay.

Sarah Lancaster is one of my favorite actresses. If you watch even a minute of her scene in her last episode of Everwood you'll see what I mean. It was extremely moving and heart-breaking. In an Entertainment Weekly review of the episode they said Sarah was "the first Saved By the Bell alum worthy of Emmy contention" ...now that's saying something.
