Sarah Shahi was born in Grapevine, Texas on January 1980, two years after her family left her native Iran, due the 1979 Islamic Revolution. As her last name "Shahi" suggests, she is a descendent of Fath Ali Shah of the Qajar Dynasty, who ruled Iran from 1797 to 1834. Shahi combines beauty with intelligence, as she is bilingual in English and Persian, studied science and was a member of the National Honor Society.
While studying at The Southern Methodist University, she became a cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys for the years, 1999-2000. During her cheerleading experience, she graced the covers of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders Calendar and of Muscle and Fitness Magazine. She even travelled to the troubled Balkans in January 2000, as part of a USO tour to perform for US soldiers engaged in operations in Kosovo.
She guest starred on episodes of Maybe It's Me, and Spin City and regularly guest stars as Jenny on the ABC show Alias.
Asked what her great ancestor Fath Ali Shah would have thought of her career, she said, "I think he'd probably be pleased and happy of the advancements I have made." Her fans would agree. Life to live full season
Things may not be hunky-dory at NBC, which is seeing many of its shows disappoint in the ratings department despite loads of promotion (I'm looking at you, Knight Rider!). However, one show that hasn't had the benefit of massive marketing pushes but still performs OK is Life--and late last week that show was rewarded.

As Miss Shahi already showed on The L Word, she is perfectly capable to do the splits between drama and comedy, which she further exercises on her new show Life. In the role of Det. Dani Reese she again shows her true potential on winning the audience not solely by looks but first and foremost by an honest and in every way believable performance. Equipped with those skills Miss Shahi has the best preconditions for a long and aspiring career not only on television but maybe someday on the big screen. However, in my opinion she should stick with television, at least for the time being: This way we have a weekly pleasure to look forward to!!!!

She the most charming girl i'v ever seen.Her smile can bring fresh air to us.Her perfomance is so wonderful.Sexy dance and voice. She plays carmen in TLW which is the first les film i'v ever seen.Her exerllent show gives us an enjoyment. I really want to see her in S4 of TLW...Really expect!!! I like her so much . Hope she'll get greater achievement in her future career. Her colour of skin gives me a deep impression,it's dark browm to black which i rarely see. I'm her super fans! You're the NO.1 !!!!!!!!!!!!

Love her very much in The L Word, as she did a very wonderful job as Carmen in the show. Hot, beautiful, charming and talented. Should have been a bigger star than she is now. Hope to see her more in near future. She deserves a successful acting career.

Oh Sarah, please come back to The L Word. We Sharmen fans miss you very much.

Sarah Shahi lights up the screen with her beautiful smile and her puppy look.

She certanly is talented and gorgeous looking and is an asset to The "L" Word Show.

She seems to be easy going and makes the viewing of the show a pleasurable experience.

Also her portray of Carmen de la Pica is very convincing and she even looks tomboyish at times!

Sarah Shahi is probably one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. When I first saw her on the L Word, I couldn't believe how stunning she was. What's more, she has taken her role as Carmen and proved what an outstanding actress she is as well. Watch out, world! I'm sure we'll be seeing Ms. Shahi for many years to come!
