Mid-term election coverage forced SNL out of Studio 8H for this show and the next. Robin Duke explains during the cold opening how the show is being done from two separate studios (presumably 3A and 8G). Center stage is also different in these episodes.

Howard Hesseman will host again in a few months. Many people assumed it was a rerun of this show.
