Ham spirals deeper into his grief over the loss of his brother. Bobby goes undercover. The team investigates a homicide and missing child case where the child is found almost burned to death in a car with is father being the number one suspect. hide show

So Grace and the team are called to investigate the murder of a woman who was apparently packing to go away for at least six months. We later find out she had planned to go to Orlando with her six year old son, possibly to get away from her estranged husband who is supposedly obsessed with his son. The next door neighbor is one of the main suspects until they find out that he was actually sleeping with Jack's mother. When they couldn't find Jack's father they put out a cast over the tv hoping to gain a sympathy vote. Tips start flooding the phone lines on the whereabouts of Jack and his father, until a burned car is found with the body of a little boy. The boy turns out to be six year old Jack, who is burned over seventy percent of his body. Jack wants to see his father and against her will Grace and Ham let Jack see him, because it could be the only thing that will help him survive. Grace takes revenge by pushing the father down a flight of stairs, breaking his ankle and getting the confession. Grace is brutal as she is stepping on the broken ankle of the man, then she calls in an attempted escape of the prisoner to cover her own butt if he tried to cry police brutality. Meanwhile, Ham is confused and is sleeping with his ex wife Darlene again. Grace suspects something is wrong but she would not say "I love you" back to Ham. Ham obviously still grieving over the loss of his brother, finds a puppy at the crime scene who belonged to Jake and takes it home with him. This is good for Ham because i think it will help him work through some of the pain, but what happens when Jake gets better and wants his puppy back? Bobby all of a sudden takes off and we are informed that he has gone undercover, though when don't know why or for how long. We know that it will be at least a few weeks because he handed Butch a bunch of letters and said mail them to his boys one a week, and gave his wedding band to Butch to give to his wife until he comes back. We know it's serious because captain Perry told Butch that from now on he doesn't know who Bobby is, because it could kill him. Great episode, can't wait to see the next one. I can't believe the season is almost over already!
