This string is proof that more people should watch the series Farscape. I do not mean that in an inflammatory way, only to say that if you haven't seen it yet you really should make the effort! I promise it will be worth your time. The first few episodes are a little dry, but the next 80 are awesome!
The story, acting, direction, effects, writing, chemistry, humor and I could go on and on. In any case, see the show, you will love it!
I guess you know which show has my vote. :-)

My favourite Sci-Fi show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Simply the coolest show to ever hit television (saying nothing of Angel and Smallville) this show truly will stand the test of time.

ok - for sheer orginality - Lexx
for total cool factor - Stargate SG-1
and for its subtle attempts at social engineering - Star Trek TNG
oh and one for its utter inspired lunacy - Red Dwarf

    Hi All,

Being new to the boards I thought I would jump in here as an avid Sci-Fi fan.

I don't have only one fave show, but several and no no particular order. They are:-

    Doctor Who.
    Doctor Who 2005.
    Star Trek.
    Stargate SG-1.
    Babylon 5.
    Battlestar Galactica 2003.

    Just my contribution.

Very difficult question. Too many excellent shows! In my order:

    1. Doctor Who, the originals.
    2. Babylon 5
    3. Crusade (Babylon 5 continuation murdered by TNT before it aired)
