J.D., still pining after Elliot, breaks up with Danni who was already sleeping with someone else, Danny, anyway. Sean searches for an apartment and Carla starts freaking out about the wedding preparations. Turk calms her down and is in a good mood since he finally got Dr Miller to like him. Dr. Kelso asks Dr Cox's opinion on full body scans and after Cox tells him that they're a terrible idea, Kelso ignores him and starts advertising the thousand dollar body scans, which makes Dr Cox furious.
When Turk convinces Carla to uninvite people, he is horrified to find out that she uninvited his boss, Dr. Miller, who now resents him, and makes him hold back the fat flaps. Turk decides to get back at her by making a scene at the cake shop. When he tries to convince Carla to get wedding pie, she confronts him and Turk points out the whole wedding is about her, until he realises that Carla organised a big screen TV at the reception so that he could watch the playoffs. He forgives Carla, but is still stuck doing remedial jobs for surgery.
The Janitor lectures J.D. on his relationship with Elliot and how they don't work as a couple, and J.D. ignores him until Elliot tells him that Sean is moving in with her. J.D. tries to scare her into backing out of the decision but when Sean confronts him on this, he realises he wants Elliot to be happy. J.D. gives her his blessing to move in with Sean but then quickly changes his mind when he realises how badly he wants her. Elliot leaves, confused and when Sean starts to move in, she breaks up with him.
Mr. Corman, the hypochondriac, arrives for his full body scan shortly after Dr. Cox bets Kelso that nobody would undergo the procedure. After failing to persuade Mr. Corman not to do the scan, it turns out the insurance wouldn't cover it anyway. As Corman leaves, Dr. Kelso says that the scan is on the house. Dr. Cox then races Corman out of the hospital and tries to bribe him into backing out with a lunch. Mr. Corman finds out about the bet and to spite Cox heads straight for the scan. It is only there that Dr. Cox does care about Corman's safety as he kisses Kelso's ring signifying the bet before Corman goes under. While there are hundreds of other patients that request full body scans, Dr. Cox is proud that he at least stopped one person from ruining their lives.
As J.D. watches TV, Elliot comes in and reveals that she chose him. Unfortunately, upon realising that he has Elliot, J.D. realises that he doesn't in fact want her.
