J.D. wakes up next to Danni. He wonders if they should discuss the nickname of his penis. Instead she asks him for a romantic story. He tells the story of how they met and they got to know each other better. Afterwards he gets up to do a naked chicken dance. Suddenly Dr. Cox comes in. Just because Jordon thinks it's cute that J.D. is having sex with her sister doesn't mean he is ok with their sexcapades in his guest room. J.D. stands there naked covering his privates with a picture of his son. Then he turns it around and there is a picture of Dr. Cox.
At the hospital, Dr. Cox tells J.D. that seeing he is dating his ex-wife's sister they might be forced to hang out more outside of the hospital but he makes it clear that he doesn't want to have dinner, go bowling nor see him do naked dances at his home. Jill Tracy is back at the hospital as her landlord found her passed out on her apartment floor. Lucky for her as she couldn't pay the rent this month. J.D. mentions that doctors spend an average of 15 seconds listening to a patient. They tell Jill they will run some tests and let her know.
Elliot and Carla play darts at the bar. Turk and J.D. wonder how they have become best friends of late. Ted informs Dr. Kelso that the staff have complaint about the new tight budget stethoscopes. Dr. Kelso wants to try to see and loses his hearing. J.D. and Dr. Cox visit Jill for the next 15 seconds. Perry notices her huge diamond ring and ask when the big day is but she replies that her fiancee dumped her but she sent back the fake one. J.D. asks if she had any recent exposures to pesticides as the test results showed some. She says no so they leave. Danni asks if J.D. wants to come to the carnival tonight but he has to decline as Dr. Cox is watching them. Dr. Cox says they should do something on their own. Carla suggests giving a patient benzoid to put her to sleep but Elliot says it can cause a bad reaction in older people. Carla rebuffs that the shouldn't worry and that she has never steered her wrong.
At the cafeteria, the janitor asks Dr. Kelso if he take over the speaker announcement as the lady that normally does it got hit by a bus. As he still can't hear anything, he just says "splendid" and walks off. At the carnival, J.D. says the situation with Danni is driving Dr. Cox nuts but there is nothing he can do about it. The patient Carla gave benzoid suddenly flatlines, Elliot stabilizes him but says Carla should do what she says next time and keep her opinions to herself.. Dr. Kelso asks Turk to have a look at his ears. On the ferryswheel, Dr. Cox reveals that J.D. has nailed Jordan and the wheel gets stuck with them at the top for an hour. When J.D. brings Danni homes, but she is ok with it. But as a guy she is falling in love with he should have told her beforehand. J.D. recommends ordering Pizza but Danni would rather go inside and wash her feet J.D. puked on earlier.
Turk makes a loud announces that Dr. Kelso ruptured both his ear drums and people can say all they want as long as they have a smile on their face. Everybody insults him while keeping a smily face. Elliot apologizes to Carla that she shouldn't have listened to her in the first place. Carla is not so happy about that. For the next 15 seconds with Jill, they inform her that nobody found any pesticides at her apartment and joke about her furniture. She says nobody has been that nice to hear in a while but they are leaving already. Danni is ignoring J.D. at the hospital. Carla complains to Turk that Elliot is giving her attitude. Turk explains that outside the hospital Carla is the boss of everybody but in this hospital she is not. For the next 15 seconds with Jill they tell her she is free to go home but they would like to have known what was wrong with her. Jill says thanks and take care in case they don't see each other again.
At dinner, J.D. is invited by Dr. Cox even though Danni doesn't like him there. She is mad that he asked if they could have pizza on her saying she is falling in love with him. Jordan explains that they are doctors and they don't listen to anyone and Perry is the same. She hopes that the two listen better to their patients. Rigt then they figured out what was wrong with Mrs. Tracey. She couldn't pay the rent this month, her fiance dumper her, she can't remember anyone being nice to her in a long time, and her saying goodbye in case they don't see each other anymore: she did it to herself. They rush back to the hospital and meet up with her just as she is leaving. They have a serious discussion how things have been going lately and take her back inside.
Dr. Kelso gets his hearing back and the first thing he does is kick off the janitor from the speaker announcement as he has been doing bogus and insulting messages all along. Ted comes in and tells him how much he hates him, not knowning he got his hearing back. Elliot orders Carla and she doesn't mind doing the job for her. J.D. and Danni make up while they watch a movie and J.D gets annoyed but Jordan tells him to hush.
