Lucy is assigned "Hell Week" leader, while Drew has to cope with his new position as study group leader. Meanwhile, Turk's position as Chief of Surgery is undermined by the appearance of Dr. Russell Vaughn.
This half-hour comedy focuses on the bizarre experiences of fresh-faced medical intern John "J.D." Dorian (Zach Braff) as he embarks on his healing career in a surreal hospital crammed full of unpredictable staffers and patients – where humor and tragedy can merge paths at any time. Joining the… More rumpled J.D. in his exhilarating brave new world are his college buddy, Chris Turk (Donald Faison, " Clueless "), an intern with a more elite surgical group, and J.D.'s fellow medical intern, the beautiful and driven Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke, " Roseanne "). Keeping the new interns on their toes are: The fatherly chief of medicine, Dr. Bob Kelso (Ken Jenkins); the abrasive, worldly Dr. Perry Cox (John McGinley), and the caring but slightly jaded nurse Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes). The hospital janitor (Neil Flynn) also never seems to miss an opportunity to harass his target. Scrubs is filmed in a real-life hospital. It's the North Hollywood Medical Center, which has gone under severe reconstruction to fit all the equipment and represent Sacred Heart Hospital. Scrubs is a show about a group of Interns (Season 1) that we watch that become full fledge Drs (Season 8) to which the hospital moves over to a new place on the Medical School Campus and We Start With A Whole New Crop of Students and Inters hide show
The show has always been a favorite of mine from the day it started. But unlike the creators last Show Spin City this one never did get a good run. This show moved around from time slot to time slot then from NBC to ABC where ABC said they would not give it the same treatment that NBC gave it only to move it around the time slots as well. In Canada it moved from CTV to CityTV and for this last Season no network in Canada wanted the show but thankfully we get ABC or I would go nuts. I just wish that they had closed Scrubs off and moved this new season into a spin off. Even if they called it Srubs Med School that would have been fine. I am not complaining though Scrubs Rocks! Like ER they will live on forever. There is nothing like the comedy and comradeship of Turk & JD I hope that Scrubs gets one more season for 10 and they close it off with a bag.. but who can top the closer of Season 8. No Matter what the ratings scrubs will always have a fan following. Go Scrubs Go
John D. Dorian, Johnny, Vanilla Bear, will always be in our hearts. I came late into the Scrubs game. I got hooked on Comedy Central. From there I watched every marathon, bought all the dvds, and I even considered becoming a doctor. This show (season 1-8) was absolutely amazing. The earlier seasons were just so relatable. As times went on we grew close to the entire ensemble cast. And by entire I mean everyone. Scrubs is nothing without their background players. Dr. Beardfacé, Colonel Doctor, Snoop Dogg Intern... I mean Snoop Dogg Resident, Ted, Dr. Jan Itor, Mickhead, Llyod, Randall, The Brain Trust, the list could go on forever. J.D.'s fantasies have always been a favorite of mine. This single camera comedy was simply enjoyable. It's quirkiness made it special. Without one half of the absolute best bromance on television, this show will never be the same. Zack Braff, i'm begging you to come back.
best show ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! only one other comedy comes close how i met your mother but still scrubs beats that this show was the show of the decade:D for sure i hope they will continue with more season in the future
i hope you all agree
it just had ever think drama comedy commitment to there jokes and follow through with everthink they ever had HAS the best story once agien the comdey that comes close is how i met your mother with the story
this show is a easy 10 out of 10 i have liked what they have done with the new season 9 med school very interesting it is a brand new start to the show with the same feel as always
The reason I'm giving this show such a low rating is because Scrubs is NOT Scrubs without JD. I will not be watching. hide show
The reason I'm giving this show such a low rating is because Scrubs is NOT Scrubs without JD. I will not be watching. Not to thrilled with the new girl either. She is not funny and the only thing she makes me wanna do when I watch her is go to sleep. That is not good when you're trying to have a good comedy. And why did they tear down Sacred Hearts, that was just stupid, the only thing worse than that is no Carla. How are we supposed to watch a show that we grew to love without the characters that mad us love it? It should have ended last season without further humiliating it's name.
I've never seen such a good show ever before. hide show
This show is..... amazing! seasons 1-8 are known by me as the classics. To me season 9 is a spin-off, so i will rate them differently. first, seasons 1-8 : Classic! These seasons constantly kept me laughing the entire time. Even through the mess of season 7 I enjoyed this show a lot. One thing that scrubs (season 1-8) has that no other sitcom has is heart. And this show has plenty of it. There were episodes that even I (a grown male) would tear up about. This show captured the raw emotion of being a new doctor in a large, scary hospital and having to deal with death and stress on a daily basis. And while the later seasons lost some of the new-doctor feel, it still maintained that emotion that made it great. Funny, yet emotional at the same time, and not to mention a near perfect cast.... It completely deserves a 10. Now, for season 9.... Its a little early to fully judge. Only 3 episodes have aired and well, it has the same problems as any new show. forced jokes, uneven pacing, nervous acting.... but this has potential. im not a fan of Cole (but were we supposed to be???) but drew and Lucy are amazing! this show is missing something that made classic scrubs great though: patient interaction. It still has it but it is in short bursts. And there has been little emotion (but like I said it is a little early to judge) . It is pretty dang funny though. for right now I give it a 9.
