I'm amazed at how under-rated this series is. Here in Australia, most kids of that era grew up wanting to be trained in scuba diving, and the sport and recreation here has benifited enormosely from this show. Sea Hunt is a legend. Lloyd Bridges is the founder and father to an entertainment empire, and a huge part of the history of show business in the USA. Maybe the show was filmed in black and white.... (?) This could explain its lack of visibilty these days, because technology has moved so far, and people expect so much wizbang special effects these days. Sea Hunt made the beach and the sea a place of adventure, and helped me appreciate the wonders of nature. Like "Flipper" , "Sea Hunt" encouraged an interest in ecology and the environment that is now such a huge part of ourlives, this show has an influence that is bigger than it hoped to be.
