From what i was just informed it may be the 18th of July. I'm still waiting for official confirmation of this though. Space channel in Canada is showing all 22 season two episodes plus the season three opener on the 17th of july in preperation for it.

At this rate it looks like it won't even be out next year (2007), from the sites i checked.

I think it is kind of a ripoff when they only sell the first season of a show and not the rest. as they have done (to this date) with Mork & Mindy, SeaQuest, and Everwood, to name a few. If they don't plan to make the other seasons on DVD why sell any of them at all.

    You're KIDDING!

No season 2 in even 2007?!

These people at Universal are cruel!  Releasing only season 1 of seaQuest, and keeping their Law & Order releases to maybe 2 a year!

Or has there been an update since the previous posting?

I read that this site created a vote for season one to be released and that universal then went through with it.  Why don't they do it now?  Its been a year since the first one was released.  By the time they get enough votes to make a statement to universal it will be next christmas.  I say we get crackin on this and tell Universal to get a move on.

    SEAQUEST FOREVER.

As you can see, I'm NOT happy about this.

I really liked seasons 2 & 3. Season 2 had some more imaginative stories than season 1, though I liked S1. And Season 3 started getting dark, with a hint of WWIII, which really had something cool going on. Would've also been a good lead-in to "Star Trek".

Universal is starting to tick me off. They've got great shows that people want to buy on DVD (seaQuest & the Law & Order series), and they are abysmally slow (at BEST) releasing them.

here is a little more bad news. i just got an email back from the guys that run the site www.tvshowsondvd.com, and they get info from the networks and there is no set plans from universal to put out the dvds.

they were my last hope for good news.

Ya know i am getting a little angry. Im still waiting for season 2 of seaquest. It was the best season in my opinion. There are other shows that came out years after this show and they are being released as well as shows earlier than seaquest. Im looking for an answer from somebody, anybody.

According to the rumor mill at The Digital Bits, Season 2 of Seaquest is slated to be released in August 2007. No definite date yet, but this is at least some word that it may be coming.

if it is true, if it isn't. They really need to put out atleast season 2, loved that season. Three would be nice to see again, but not as important.

I have to disagree with you here. Season 3, for one thing, wrapped up the story left hanging at the end of season 2. Plus, one of my top favorite episodes in the entire series is in season 3 - "Second Chances", where seaQuest ends up in 1962, during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Plus, season 3 had some cool things that the previous seasons did not - a darker military feel to the series, and recurring bad guys! ie: President Alexander Bourne of the Alliance of Macronesia. Larry Deon, richest and most amoral jerk in the world, and Mason Freeman, Deon's top employee and assassin, when needed. And lastly, the submarine fighters! Need I say more?

Sadly, season 3 was cut short, thanks to the stuffed suits, but I'll be happy to add it to my collection!

I see your point, but I just happen to like season 2 the most. that's why I want them to make the dvds already. But I do want to have all 3 seasons. The show ended before it's time

On this matter, we are in complete agreement.

However, at least if it had to end, it ended well, with what looked like the beginnings of WWIII.

Feel free to call me an idiot if you want for this, but for me, it works out great because 10 years after WWIII, warp drive is created, and First Contact made with the Vulcans.

Yes, in my own twisted little world, I treat seaQuest as an unofficial prequel to Star Trek, but it is on its own still an excellent show.

But it is fun to have it as the 'beginning' of the Trek saga, lol.

I never really thought of it that way. but it fits really well. I could so see it as the unofficial prequel to the StarTrek shows.

Yeah... it almost seems like it...

    a prequel... haha.. nice.

but I wasn't really a big fan of season three BECAUSE of how military it felt like. The man made Lucas become a soldier, almost booting him off the boat. They returned to what seemed to be a martial law world, dark and sad.

Granted, everything get be as light as it was in the first two seasons, but in season three... seaQuest felt less like home for me.

Well here it is, the end of August, and there is no DVDs on sale, and there is still no plan to make any. This really sucks, they know people really really want the other two seasons, but do they give them to us, NO.
