seaQuest DSV: Episode Trivia
TRIVIA GUIDE:
- TRIVIA: Brenda King, the woman who portrays Carol Bridger in this episode (and any other referring to her) is actually Roy Scheider's wife.
- The foreign businessman who is planning on destroying the seaQuest fills a goblet with red wine. Then he throws it to Captain Stark but when she grabs it, it is empty. But in the next cut it is full again.
- In the scene where Bridger and O'Neill are taking Darwin to Sea-Deck, there is a third man (stuntman) visible in the water, at the far right.
- TRIVIA: From a deleted scene available on the DVD set - Hitchcock tells Lucas that Savannah told her about the fantasies she scanned in his thoughts. She's flattered but says, "I don't date men until after they start shaving." and they agree to be friends.

- In the scene where Lucas and the others are lost in the middle of the ocean, the camera moves to Lucas as he laughs, and there is a reflection on a wall behind him.
- During the scene when Darwin spits out the fresh water at Bridger, it's visibly coming from the right next to Bridger and not from where Darwin is positioned.
- TRIVIA: The haunting sea shanty that Manny sings is called The Drunken Sailor and dates backfrom the early 1800s, if not earlier. Numerous versions of the lyrics are available on the Internet, and some of them are pretty risque. The scene of Manny and the crew singing this song is one of the best sequences of the entire series, and it can give one chills down the spine.
- About 10min into the episode, there is a blonde lady trying to hide, in front of the birdcage, as the camera pans across.
- Near the beginning of the episode, a reflection of a camera is visible in the computer monitor, just before it cuts to the credits.
- TRIVIA: Seth Green's character in this episode is nicknamed 'Wolfman' and he later went on to play a werewolf named Oz on the TV series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".

- At exactly 33:54 (on DVD) as the camera pans down from the tree to the tent and there is a car visible as it drives by, hidden mostly by the trees (just right of the center of the shot). It seems rather strange for an uninhabited island to have traffic.
- TRIVIA: Guest star Peter DeLuise will return in the next season, in a different role, joining the cast as Dagwood.
- TRIVIA: This is the first episode to use the "Tonight on seaQuest" intro.
- TRIVIA: In this episode, Lucas and Lt. Cmdr. Hitchcock designed and built the prototype and continuously argue over calling it The Stinger or The Gazelle.
- TRIVIA: The footage of the helicopter using machine guns was in fact stock footage taken from the TV series Airwolf.
- Noyce and Crocker are in the room when Bridger enters the ventilation duct, yet they are instantly outside at the news briefing when the shot changes. No time had passed, thus they couldn't have made it outside so fast.
- Near the end of the episode, when Bridger uses the laser cutter to get into the room, there is a visible score line in front of his cut and it even sparks before the cutter reaches it.
- When Darwin was out listening for Lucas' music, he has on his air tanks, but when he gets back into seaQuest to tell them that he has found the music, the tanks are gone.
- Halfway through the episode, when Lucas gets up out of his seat, the reflection of the camera and crew is visible in it's back as it turns.

- TRIVIA: This is the final appearance of series stars Stephanie Beacham (Dr. Kristin Westphalen), Stacy Haiduk (Lieutenant-Commander Katie Hitchcock) and Royce D. Applegate (Chief Manilow Crocker). This is John D'Aquino (Lieutenant Benjamin Krieg) last appearance as a series star, but later appears in the season 3 episode "In the Company of Ice and Profit" as a guest-star.
