Notes

add »
The actress who played the "Angry Woman" in the mob that Jerry talks to is Kathy Kinney, she would later to go onto to play Mimi in The Drew Carey Show. (edit)
This episode was produced before "The Junior Mint", but was aired out of production order. It is for this reason that in this episode Jerry says that he is considering buying a yo-yo, but two he already has a yo-yo and shows the doctor a trick. (edit)
At the time of this episode's original airing, there was some controversy surrounding its plot. It was even speculated that the episode would never air. This may explain why it was shown out of production order. (edit)
Kramer says that Lola insulted him, calling him a "hipster doofus". This was Larry David's response to an unfavourable review of the series, which described Kramer using the same term. Elaine later uses this same term to insult Kramer in Season 5's "The Glasses." (edit)
The U.S. syndicated version of this episode features Jerry Stiller in the role of Frank Costanza. Viewers overseas still see John Randolph in the role. The sequences were re-shot in the spring of 1995. A role he didn't formally start until the next season in "The Puffy Shirt". I've been typed that the John Randolph version is still being seen overseas. (edit)

George: Is it my imagination, or do really good-looking women walk a lot faster than everybody else?
Elaine: We don't walk that fast. (edit)
Kramer: Am I a hipster-doofus? (edit)
Salesman: This is our best model, the Cougar 9000. It's the Rolls Royce of wheelchairs. This is like, you're almost glad to be handicapped. (edit)
Jerry: We'll give the keys to Elaine.
Elaine: Me?
Jerry: Yeah. You're a woman. Men won't hit a woman.
Elaine: Oh, they won't?
Jerry: Not if they don't know you. (edit)
George: What are we gonna do? How are we gonna get out of here?
Jerry: The thing is, even if we go back by the car, and they're not there, how do we know they're not all hiding, waiting for us?
Elaine: Well, they have to give up sometime, they can't stay out there all night.
Jerry: What are we, John Dillinger? I mean, how did this get to be the crime of the century? It's not like we stuck a broomsticks in her spokes and she went flying. (edit)

Trivia

When the gang is coming back from the store they walk a long distance, but if they parked in a handicap spot they wouldn't have to walk that far. (edit)
Although for almost the entire episode, as well as in future episodes, he is referred to only as "The Drake", the first time he is mentioned, The Drake's first name is given. It's "Scott". (edit)
Jerry says during his opening skit that he wonders what the parking situation at the Special Olympics is. The Special Olympics are games for mentally handicapped people, who do not require handicap parking spaces. Jerry should have discussed the parking situation at the Paralympics, for actual physically handicapped people. (edit)
Toward the end of the episode, while George is driving a van and looking for a parking spot, with Kramer in the passenger seat, they pass by a fire hydrant.
Kramer tells George since he can't find a parking space to park beside the hydrant. Didn't Kramer learn his lesson after the first incident?? Also it was a long roadway, so that means they could have parked anywhere on that long roadway, and clearly would have been far enough from the hydrant. (edit)
Towards the end of this episode in the apartment, Jerry tells George that he "thinking about" getting a yo-yo. Just two episodes before this in the Junior Mint, we see Jerry playing with a yo-yo in the hospital room. (edit)

Kramer: Make sure that we dont forget where the car is parked.

This is an obvious reference to Season 3's "The Parking Garage", in which the gang spend the entire episode searching for Kramer's car in a mall's parking complex. (edit)
