- Kramer's unoffical catchphrase "Giddy Up" is first used in this episode. edit »
- When Jerry and George are walking down the stairway and takling about Red China, they are walking side by side. In the nest shot after they round the corner, they switched places. edit »
- When Kramer finally finds the car and is putting the box in the trunk, a hand (George's?) reaches to help with the trunk door. In the next shot the hand is gone. edit »
- Regarding the lines: due to the complications of the set lines were not drawn to simplify things since the set would be redone to simulate multiple levels and directions, thus it was a waste of time to put the lines in for something so small. The only real they appear in the case of the luxury car is to make the joke work. edit »
- At the end of the episode, when Kramer is struggling to start the car you can see George, Elaine, and Jerry giggling. This is because the car was supposed to start but the fact that it died was so unnexpected that they couldn't hold it. edit »
- This episode received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series. edit »
- When Kramer finally puts the air conditioner into the cars trunk, he actually busts his lip on the box the way he falls in. He feels his lip and keeps the scene rolling never breaking character. edit »
- The garage is actually just one set which, with the use of clever camera angles and careful planning, simulates multiple levels and directions. Due to this, there are no lines to mark the parking spaces since it would take to long to have to remake the lines depending on where the cars are parked; the only case where lines are used is in the case of the luxury car, which is, of course, done to make the joke work. Additionally, mirrors were used to make the garage seem larger that it really is, in fact if you look closely at one of the first scenes you can make out the reflection of the gang. edit »
- The box Kramer carries around the garage is not empty. Michael Richards requested the prop manager to put an actual air conditioner in the box so he could work with the weight. edit »
- The episode ends with Kramer's car not starting, but in the original script the ending was supposed to be Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer getting in the car and then driving around in circles trying to find the exit to the mall. But when Michael Richards went to start the car it wouldn't start and they decided to end the show that way instead because it was funnier. If you watch the rest of the cast in the car you'll see them laughing when the car doesn't start because everyone was surprised by it. edit »
- Jerry: You know, I've been issued a public urination pass by the city because of my condition. Unfortunately, my little brother ran out of the house with it this morning. Him and his friends are probably peeing all over the place. edit »
- George: If I am not in front of my building at 6:15 when my parents get there, they are going to put me on an aggravation installment plan that will compound with interest for decades. edit »
- Jerry: (to George) You get within fifteen feet of that woman, she'd have her finger on the mace button. edit »
- George: I'm trying to live my life! edit »
- George: What's the difference? We'll all be dead eventually?
Kramer: Does that bother you?
George: Yeah, it bothers me. Doesn't it bother you?
Kramer: Not at all.
George: You see, now, that bothers me even more than dying bothers me, because it's people like you who live to be 120 because you're not bothered by it. edit »
