Seems to me that the mcguire family have brought a nasty violent edge to the programe. Not sure if it depends on which character it features but� the programe appears to be getting heavier and less light hearted.I think losing sheila was a massive blow, i'm praying to god she makes a return. That said, it's still the best thing on t.v.

I don't think their introduction is spoiling the show in anyway, i actually think they have improved it alot. The aggression of the maguires as been handled well. They aren't to agressive and the aggression they do have makes you laugh aswell.

The addition of the Maguires was a great decision they are absolutely fab especially the new son shameless is great and id love to live on the chatsworth estate they know how to party!!!

I think that they added something to the show and Series 4 would have been cr*p without 'em... no Kev and Veronica, Marty soon out... Sheila gone etc. etc. etc.
So three cheers I say - especially to Mimi - by Chr*st, there's one SCARY woman!

i love the macguires, mimi is so funny and the bit where patrick was sitting on the racehorse is totally classic ( ep 1 series 4)

Micky is the funniest maguire .. The faces he makes , his walk and some of the stuff he says/// on last nights e4 episode he was hilarious

I agree the Maguires have brought a more violent element to the show but I think this series in particular we have seen a much softer side to them and I think without them the show would not have been half as good.

I still miss Kev and Veronica but i reckon the Maguires are cool i dont think they are too violent i mean theres some punching but thats really it in the 5th season and drugs obviously but thats not really much considering the Jocky hand out E's like candy. I love Jamie and Micky there my Favourites. I like the family alot and think they make a great addition
