Sharon Case was born on February 9th, 1971 in Detroit, Michigan and is best known for her role as Sharon Collins Newman on the hit CBS soap opera,'The Young and the Restless.'

As a child, Sharon was devoted to dancing ballet and jazz. While still in elementary school, her family moved to Los Angeles.

When she was 17 years old, she was scouted at a modeling event and was offered a modeling opportunity in Japan. She spent five months working in Japan before returning to Los Angeles.

It was then she decided to pursue a career in acting and started to

It did not take long for Sharon to land the role of Dawn Winthrop on 'General Hospital,' but was let go after 1 year.

Soon after, she moved to New York and was cast the role of Debbie Simon on 'As the World Turns.'

Sharon left 'As the World Turns' and moved back to Chatsworth, Los Angeles. She auditioned for the role of Sharon Collins on 'The Young and the Restless' and was cast. Though she thought she would only be on the show for six months but ended up staying for over 10 years.

    I Love Sharon, her acting, her role that she plays in the young & the restless and everything about her! I have been watching her ever since she started on the young & the restless and I coun't imagine her not on it!! hide show

    I have been a fan of Sharon's since the first day that she started on the young & the restless!! I was imediately drawn to her beauty, her acting, and most of all her character as Sharon! I really won't want to watch the young & the restless if sharon wasn't on it! I Loved her first 10 years when she was with Nick, and cryed so deeply when they lost cassy!! I really hope and Pray that some day the 2 of them will reunite again! I will continue to watch and love Sharon on the young & the restless till the day she retires!
