This reality show came to us from the makers of Big Brother. 12 contestants competed for a potential prize fund of £100,000. Extreme sleep deprivation was the game: every time one of them nodded off, the jackpot went down. Each day the contestant that coped the least was eliminated.
Like Big Brother and The Salon, digital viewers were able to watch the action live on E4. There was also a companion series "Absolutely Shattered" immediately following the Channel 4 programme where the eliminated contestant were debriefed by experts and reunited with friends and family.

Day Seven
Aired: Friday January 10, 2003
On the final day, we finished with a head to head between the final three to see who could stay awake the longest with their eyes covered and the lights off. In the studio, Dermot informs us that Jonathan was eliminated first, Chris less than a second later and Clare S over an hour later. Clare S is the winner of a final total of £97,000 after the contestants were able to win back some of the snoozed-away money.
