"There was once a very unbeautiful, horrible, rotten island..." This is how the episode begins and how much of the episode is spent. They describe how the animals hate each other, and how they love taking a swim in the boiling sea of toxic waste. How at night it's so cold, that everything freezes solid, and how during the day, everything is so hot that even the oceans boil. The creatures fight over who is uglier, and spout insults at one another. They bathe in volcanoes and frolic in hurricanes. They and everything on the island are rotten. Except for the small flower that has just sprouted up. The monsters are frightened of the "hideous" thing. Then more and more of the flowers sprout up all over the island, sending the creatures into a horrible year long war, in which every living creature dies and the island is barren and desolate. Then it rains. it rains for several days and suddenly, hundred upon hundreds of flowers srpout from every corner of the island. Palm trees in the volcanoes. Beautiful coral reefs in the oceans, which have also been cleared of the hideous creatures. A huge rainbow forms over the island, and some birds begin to fly towards this new beautiful island.
