- Shelly: Whenever I watch guy rockers I’m just like, Wow, I want to have sex with him.(edit)
- Shelly: It was fun. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.(edit)
- Shelly: One good thing though is that whereas in the 80’s, it was really hard to make a leap from television to the movies. Now it’s completely [different].(edit)
- Shelly: I had so much fun working with Gina [Gershon] and Drea [de Matteo] and Lori [Petty], all of them. We had a great time all of us - the four of us together - which I think shows on the screen.(edit)
- Shelly: I don’t think I’d ever kissed a girl on screen before.(edit)
- Shelly: My first record was I Love Rock and Roll when I was 7 years-old. I think that's where it all began.(edit)
- Shelly: There are different kinds of fans - like there are some who want to emulate who they are watching, like maybe girls who watch girl bands.(edit)

- Shelly: I think Lori [Petty] was my first screen kiss. We did it four or five times and it was like not a big deal. It wasn’t like girl-on-girl action.(edit)
