Sherri Saum: Biography

Sherri is of mixed race, having a black father and a white mother. She has a brother Mike and a sister Lisa, who is also an actress, and through Mike has a nephew born in 1997. After graduating from Kettering Fairmont High School in Kettering, Ohio, she attending Ohio State University but transfered to New York University after one semester, where she majored in psychology. While attending school in New York, she supported herself by waitressing and modeling. She had intended to pursue a law degree at John Jay, but decided to put her schooling on hold when she got an offer to go to the west coast. During her time on Sunset Beach, Sherri dated co-star Timothy Adams, and later became romantically involved with One Life to Live co-star Kamar de los Reyes. Sherri and Kamar got engaged in 2006, three years after she left One Life to Live. In addition to her acting career, Sherri is also a member of the American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers, having written a song (Charmed Chant) that was used on Prewitched, an episode of Charmed that she also guest-starred in.
