I was just thinking about how little male nurses there are and have been. At the moment there is only Scotty and Joey, and Joey's the serial killer and he'll eventually get caught, so it'll just be Scotty. I think that instead of bringing in more female nurses ((e.g new nurses Morgan and Riley)) because it's SO old, they should be bringing in more male nurses. I actually think it's kind of sexist that they're not bringing in more male nurses. I mean, they have girl doctors, right? That's why I'm kind of looking forward to seeing Denish ((sp?)) , even though he's not a nurse. Anyone else agree?

Definitely. Hospitals have orderlies too, and apart from Steve and the occasional minor character, we haven't had any that I can recall as main characters. A longt ie ago there were ambulance officers as main characters (remember Rangi and Donna?), but not recently. Plenty more ways new characters could be brought in. But yeah, definitely would be great to have more male nurses introduced.

If you want to keep the show partialy realistic you can't really have too many male nurse's, because there aren't that many male nurses compared to female nurses (unfortunatly) working in hospitals in NZ or other countries. I wouldn't argue though if they bought in a couple of good looking nurses.

Thats the same reason they don't have ambulance officers as central characters anymore, cos ambo's aren't based in hospitals, We hand over our patients then disappear off again

And it costs Shortie street too much to hire an ambulance and someone qualified to drive it for the day
