Loose Women airs every weekday lunchtime at 12.30pm on ITV1. The show see's a panel of women, discuss issues hitting the newspapers today and two celebrity guests (sometimes one, or two plus a band or singer performing) come and discuss their latest projects. Hosted by Kaye Adams for it's first ten series, Jackie Brambles and Andrea McLean have hosted the show since it's eleventh series, doing different days of the week. Jackie or Andrea are joined by three panellists in each show, the current panellists that appear are Carol McGiffin, Coleen Nolan, Denise Welch, Emma Bunton, Gillian Taylforth, Jane McDonald, Jo Bunting, Lynda Bellingham, Sherrie Hewson, Sinitta and Zoe Tyler.

Throughout series 1-2, the show's studio was in London. After the shows second series, the show was briefly rebranded as Live Talk, as it moved to a Manchester studio. After two series, in September 2002, Loose Women returned. After this in it's third series, the show moved to a Norwich studio before moving back to where it's stayed since in London.

Following directly from the end of the ninth series of the show, original host Kaye Adams joined by Loose Women favourites and comedian Ted Robbins, tested out the formula of the show at a later timeslot in the show Loose at 5:30. The show integrated men into the panel for the first time since it began, however didn't prove as popular as it did in it's lunchtime slot so moved back for the shows tenth series.
