Following the Spider-Man (1981) cartoon, NBC decided they wanted Spidey to go in a different, more accessible direction. So in order to reach a wider audience, they added the X-Men character Ice-Man, a new character called Firestar, gave Peter Parker a room that turned into a secret superhero hi-tech headquarters, and renamed the show SPIDER-MAN AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS. Last episode: Along Came Spidey
When Aunt May is injured during a confrontation between the Spider friends and the Shocker, Peter confides his origin to his friends. Telling them about his days in showbiz and the burglar who later murdered his uncle, Peter considers giving up being Spider-Man. When Bobby and Angel remind him of his vow "With great power comes great responsibility," Peter is convinced he needs to continue as Spidey. Aunt May recovers and the Spider friends get another crack at the Shocker.

What the.... This is not The Spider-Man I remember.... Spider-man and His Friends...? This is an utter insult to X-Men and Spiderman.
