In a special episode, one player is guaranteed to take home $250,000. For the first time ever, "Last Man Standing" in played in which members of the Mob compete against each other until only one remains. There are no helps and no other dollar values. Annie Duke was selected at the oustet of the game to participate as the "contestant," with the caveat that if she was eliminated at any time, a randomly selected Mob member would replace her. Mob members also included Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter from Jeopardy, Nancy Christy and Kevin Olmstead from Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, a nun, a drag queen, Ivy League graduates, rocket scientists, and trivia bowl champions. However, they also included many seemingly ordinary people who had performed well in the Mob in the past.
Following the "Last Man Standing" game, a new contestant began a normal game against a Mob that included five paparazzi and seven Hawaiian tropic girls. A surgical assistant from Van Nuys, California, Raul Torres declared himself a gambler and hoped to go all the way. He began well, and chose to continue against the Mob when time ran out for the episode.
