I really enjoyed this episode, it was pretty funny. It definitely had a lot of relationship development on Kat & Bianca's part. Kat tries to find out if her night out with Patrick is is a real date. Meanwhile Bianca gets nervous when she worries that Joey & her will have sex on their first date, especially when he brings her over to his house, and his parents are out of town. Chastity realizes she is miserable and goes to the movies alone, she bumps in to Cameron where she vents all her problems. A weird pairing: Chastity/Cameron. But it was definitely interesting to watch. Kat finds out it is a date when Patrick agrees to pay, only to find out they have to dine & dash. They end up running, but Kat ends up getting food poisoning. Patrick finally acknowledges it as a date by the end. I started to like Joey more as a character in this episode, until he starts kissing Bianca, on the couch. He sounded like some sort of sexual predator. Then he gets redemption when he agrees that their relationship is PG rated. I love the development with Kat & Patrick. The dad seems to over do it on being overprotective, but I guess that's just for the comedy, even though it's unrealistic. An amazing episode.moreless
  • Fantastic Episode. Why you should watch this show. Great acting from everyone on board.

First off, when Joey meets Walter = hilarious. Great writing and Larry Miller pulls it off beautifully. Chastity gets stuck alone. It was done so well that I actually felt sorry for her. The whole thing with Bianca and Joey was typical but done really nicely as well. I was glad that Joey put this issue aside. It seems Bianca and Joey are really good together. As you can see, the writing is fantastic... the comedy is golden. And Lindsay Shaw and Ethan Peck just make you want to watch more as Kat and Patrick explore their relationship a bit more. From deciding whether it's a date to dining and dashing, this was a fun episode for these two. I enjoy watching this show - while TV is over-populated with teen comedy-dramas mash-ups, this is one show to kick back, relax, and enjoy without having to hear/watch/listen to overly sexual teenagers trying to get what they want. These relationships (Kat/Patrick, Bianca/Joey, etc.) are much more realistic and believable and the actors really pull it off, creating an impressive on-screen chemistry.moreless

    • The blindfold Joey puts on Bianca covers her entire face including her mouth, but in the next shot her mouth is uncovered.

    • Goof: When Joey comes over, Walter says to leave the door open in Bianca's bedroom. In a previous episode (Episode 6), we saw Walter totally remove the door when he found Bianca and Dawn doing an inappropriate webcast. Looking at how Walter behaves, it's unlikely the door would have been re-attached anytime soon.

    ADD QUOTES
    • Walter: (Noting that Bianca's date obviously didn't go well) Please tell me what Joey did to you. Bianca: Can you just leave me in peace with my ice cream and Sex in the City marathon, please. Walter: Did he try to have sex in your city? Bianca: Ugh! I don't want to talk about it right now, dad. Why didn't they make you with an "off" switch.

    • Patrick: (Deciding where to eat) How 'bout Hell's Steakhouse, I'm dying for a rib-eye. Kat: You know I don't eat anything with a face. Patrick: They usually cut that part off before they serve it to you. Kat: You don't say? How 'bout Vegan Nirvana? Patrick: No thanks, I'll just chew on a tree and save twenty bucks. Kat: You know what… I'll just drive, we'll find something.

    • Bianca: Oh my god. Do you think [Joey] expects sex tonight? Dawn: I doubt it. I mean it's the first date. This may be California but we still have some standards.

    • Kat: Mark this day on your calendar Bianca, I am asking you for advice. (Holds up two different options for shoes). Bianca: Burn them. Kat: I'm serious. Bianca: So am I. You can't wear those shoes on your date and you can't wear that ponytail either – those only look good on cheerleaders.

    • Walter: I'm sorry young man, but if you'd like to see Bianca, visiting hours are 3:30-5:30[pm] on Tuesdays. Joey: I've actually come to see you, sir. It is my hope you'll grant me permission to date your daughter. Here's my driving record, vaccination card, and a list of references. Walter: They can't be- Joey: Friends, family, or fake. I know sir. Walter: Did [Bianca] put you up to this… good job. Come into the office, I'm just going to make a few calls and I'll just need an itinerary for the date. Bianca: (To Kat) Wasn't that so romantic? Kat: (Sarcastically) So romantic! Maybe they'll negotiate you're tallory while they're at it, how many camels do you think you're worth?
