Twelve Angry Pups: Someone has stolen many items from various farm animals and they eventually blame Mooch for the thefts, but Ed Pig decides to hold a trial and Lucky is placed in Mooch's defense, though even Lucky thinks Mooch is guilty.moreless

These were average episodes of 101 Dalmatians, but they could use a little more development.

In "Poison Ivy", Cruella is having the Dearly's watch over her niece, Ivy. Ivy seems like a very sweet girl, and the main pups decide to go play with her. However, the pups find out that Ivy is really a little trouble-maker, and she plans to cause chaos all over the farm and make it look like the puppies are responsible for it. She does a really good job doing it too.

It really hurt me to see the puppies get into trouble. Why did it have to be them? Those three pups are so innocent, yet they got into so much trouble, and Roger punnished them. Why did they have to so such in this episode? The puppies even did a totem pole in this episode...in their standard lineup even!

There are some things in this episode that are not quite clear enough such as Lucky spying on Ivy, and he tells his sibblings that she's framing them for messing up Roger's computer and then tells them to look while he was probably unaware that he was standing on Cadpig who at the same time was standing on Rolly causing there to be know way for them to get up to the window. Also, Rolly appearing trying to clean up Roger's desk while he didn't come through at first.

The ending I felt was appropriate having Roger and Anita find out that the puppies have been framed all along. Yes, those cute little puppies are just as innocent as Ivy. My only question is, did Roger ever find out how to get rid of that Ivy Virus? Some continuity might be nice.

"Twelve Angry Pups", in my opinion, is not as well-written as "Poison Ivy". In this episode, Mooch has been accused of stealing things from the other residents of Dearly Farm, yet he claims he's innocent. The farm decides to set up a trial to settle this whole thing.

I really think this episode could use a little more excitment rather than just, "Let's play trial." Ed Pig is also in character as he's always been, giving us his whole, "As mayor..." attitude. One of the few pros of this episode is the fact that it's one of the very few where Two-Tone has any spoken lines, and she deserved a little more spotlight than what she got in the series.

Overall, these episodes are okay. "Poison Ivy" has earned my reccomendation, but I reccomend you just not watch "Twelve Angry Pups" unless your one of those fans who is obsessed with Two-Tone. That's all I can say about this pair of episodes.

Ivy DeVil and Mooch? Better watch out!

These episodes are worth watching, even though they, I feel, aren\'t the series\' absolute best.

\'Poison Ivy\'--When Roger and Anita are stuck babysitting Cruella\'s innocent (looking) niece Ivy, she is in truth responsible for the pups\' supposed mischief.

We start with Ivy\'s little hum...get used to it, she will be repeating it throughout the episode.

I will start by saying it is good to see that the writers have the pups in character, Lucky and Rolly in particular have the most memorable bits. Rolly, typically thinking with his stomach, is characterized well as he is shown falling for Ivy\'s red hot puppy treat. Lucky is also in character for his \'never say die\' attitude in this ep; unfortunately, Cadpig isn\'t given much to work with and I felt that hurt the episode in terms of overall quality.

Now for the new kid on the block; Ivy DeVil is an okay character, I liked that she didn\'t turn out to be an Elmyra knock off (the pet crazy Elmyra on \'Tiny Toon Adventures\', brrr!), but she was a bit unrealistic. A young girl like that having advanced tech smarts is stretching reality a little (much like how on Men In Black, Agent Jay shot a little girl dummy for holding an \"Advanced Physics\" book).

I hated seeing the pups acting as Ivy\'s scapegoat, but Spot inadvertently saving them all was a welcome relief. Cruella\'s \'Ferocious Fun Pups\' were behind a terror in Grutely and Cruella\'s newest scam was foiled.

As it stands, it\'s a middle of the pack episode. Not the best, not the worst. It\'s just passable.

\'Twelve Angry Pups\'--When Mooch is blamed for a series of thefts around the farm, Mayor Ed Pig appoints Lucky to be his lawyer.

So Pug has the pups up at dawn...typical Pug.

Again, good characterization, the pups are all in character and we learn that they all love TV. Cadpig, Dipstick and Two-Tone all seemed to be handled in a great fashion. The trial was fun to watch and it was entertaining for what they could do with it.

Mooch is also in character, it is essentially an episode devoted to him and found it worthwhile. Lucky being appointed his lawyer must have been hard for him; it\'s not easy to defend your nemesis.

The only thing that threw me for a loop was the shot of Mooch riding a horse; that was just too \'human\' for me.

Scorch was also there...just to be a red herring.

While I don\'t think that either episode is notable for being outstanding, they are enjoyable for what they are and I guess that means something. I thought Twelve Angry Pups was ultimately stronger than Poison Ivy, but neither ranks among my favorite episodes in this series. They are both just passable; ranking somewhere \'in the middle\'.
