Adena goes through the Five Stages of Grief in order to cope with Meghan's death, her childhood friend, provoked when it came to Tanis being Adena's new roommate: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance.
Since there is two spots vacant in the A-group with the result of Sebastien and Meghan's death, Squib and another member from B-group (with the highest rank within the group) should have moved up to A-group automatically.

Renewal is usually used in Christian terminologies as a reference to being reborn and starting over again fresh. With the death of two characters, two more additional characters are introduced to Cascadia; changing, adapting and developing these new characters to the existing group and how it affects them is a renewal process for everyone.
