2BG is rapidly going from being one of my guilty pleasures to just downright embarrassing to talk about now. This one came off like a failed SNL sketch that went on for 24 minutes too long. There's nothing wrong with slapstick comedy moments, Dick Van Dyke and Lucille Ball each made legendary careers around such moments, but, there's nobody nearly that legendary in this cast. Bad comedy timing; sloppy delivery of rehashed set-up lines; mugging the camera; clumsy looking extras; and, sadly, not an ounce of original humor. I won't take the trouble to catalog all the elements copied just from the classic sitcoms Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley alone but they should be doing it funny!!
I can forgive funny any day. Now it's like I'm cringing for the actors when they deliver their lines. I actually find a lot of the characters kinda likeable but the writing needs to give the audience a reason to tune into their antics each week. This whole episode could have been reduced to the panels of a Sunday comic strip and gotten the same weak chuckle. Just get the 2 Girls to hook up with one another finally and stick a fork in this show.
