Universal Sports is a sister channel of NBC, also owned by NBC Universal (now Comcast). They focus on Olympic sports throughout the entire year. They show World Cup skiing, luge, bobsled, figure skating, cross-country skiing, FINA swimming, gymnastics, Ironman and ITU triathlons, marathons, track and field, cycling and much more. Back in 2008, they aired repeat coverage of many of the Beijing Summer Olympic competitions one month after the Games had ended. I'm hoping that Universal Sports will do the same for the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.
Keep your eyes open for the schedule in March or April.
Universal Sports also broadcast sports-specific shows in the summer of 2009. Each show combined the original broadcast of top events from some of the most popular sports, including one episode devoted to all of Michael Phelps' swimming event finals from Beijing.
