This is one of few episodes where there were no scenes in the chapel.
Steven Williams, Johnny Depp and Dustin Nguyen did not appear in this episode.
The rap song in the opening sequence was obviously a replacement of the original song, because the song references Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez's burning Andre Rison's home down which occured in 1994. It also mentions Alonzo Mourning (who joined the NBA in 1992), however he it's possible it was referring to his Georgetown game.
Teacher: Leadership is wonderful, but don't follow a man just because he's strong.
Doug: Why do I feel like I'm in Dodge City and somebody just shot the marshal?
This episode was inspired by the controversial Principal Joe Clark and focus of the 1989 movie Lean on Me.
