21 Jump Street

All in all, it was a pretty good episode. It was definitely very enjoyable. Booker destroying those TVs was pretty awesome; as was the guitar genius drug dealer's playing. It was really cool watching Penhall act as well. I wish I got to see more of Johnny Depp playing guitar, though.

The ending to Bookers storyline was really good and kinda sad as well.

The only things about this episode I didn't like was they had too many weird 80's montages. I think there were 3... I think 1 would have been sufficient.

Also, how they gave the whole school probation even though I doubt EVERY single person at the entire school was doing it. Plus, they said some people would be incarcerated, and yet the biggest dealer only got probation.... what?

Overall, it was a good episode. Not in my top 5, though.

This episode had so much potential, but fails to deliver to my satisfaction. Why on earth didn't Holly Robinson sing at the Performing Arts school? I was all set for this to take place, but alas, I waited in vain. There was also a part where it looked like Johnny Depp and Peter Deluise were going to do a comedy routine together, but it was nipped in the bud quickly; it turned into a dramatic reading by Deluise of a Honeymooner's skit, with Depp on the sideline. Nice work by Deluise, but I was still disappointed. And good heavens, why didn't Depp get to do the beatnik poetry reading??!! It would have been right up his alley (see his portrayal of Kerouac in "The Source").

The show is everything i want to see on television. This is a very special episode to me because

1. Michael Des Barres is in it

2. i love to sing and act myself

3. it shows how the world really is, its not all just glitter and glamour, its a very very hard world. Its just al drugs, here in holland not as much as in america, but its good to see how its been taken care off over there. My compliments voor the episode, there should me more shows who do this on television. keep the good work going.

They took a premise that easily could have slid into self-indulgent garbage and made it one of the best of series. They even managed to make Dennis Booker likeable - a miracle in itself.



A poor performance by guest star Mario Van Peebles, who kept forgetting whether he had a bad Jamacian accent in his one scene, was completely offest by the phenomenal performance by guest actor David Coburn as the heroin addicted performance artist.



The arrest scene was great. I was surprised, though, that Holly Robinson was given so little to do in this episode though. She seemed a natural for a undercover assignment at a performing arts high school.
