I give this episode an "A" for effort, though the joke wears thin after awhile. The idea is for each member of the Jump Street gang to tell a reporter about the pivotal event involving a Senator, using a movie genre as their mode of expression. Their imaginations take flight as 1) Ioki places himself in a 'dubbed' Asian martial arts flick; 2) Hanson sees himself as Charlie Chaplin in a black & white silent movie; 3) Blowfish winds up in a 'Halloween' horror flick; 4) Judy and Captain Fuller are characters in a 1940's backstage film noir; and 5) Penhall becomes James Bond (Roger Moore style).
The best of the bunch is Fuller in a Clark Gable guise, with Judy being allowed to sing in that segment as an extra treat. Johnny Depp as Charlie Chaplin is amusing, though it's eerily closer to Edward Scissorhands than it is to Benny and Joon.
