This was the first time we really get to see Richard Grieco's character outside of the precinct. I fell in love with him the first time he appeared in the show but this was truly his episode to shine. I don't think Johnny Depp (who's HIGHLY overrated) would've pulled off such an awesome performance as Richard Grieco did in this episode. You could see how conflicted he was and how his work was overlapping into his personal life. He couldn't tell his real girlfriend that he loved her, but he could tell the girl he was "romancing" to get info on the murder, and it bothered him that he couldn't be as forthcoming with his girlfriend. This was a terrific episode and it's a crying shame that an actor as beautiful and talented as Richard Grieco hasn't achieved the success he deserves. He was a fantastic addition to the show and it wasn't the same after he left.
