  • The first episode of the show.

This episode made me want to watch the next episode. I like how the show has a variety of characters with different personalities, but they seem to come together. The story line for Hansen was a good starting point. I really enjoyed the idea of sending cops undercover in schools to take care of drug dealers and other problems. I really like how laid back the captain is from the very beginning and I enjoyed the way Hansen reacted to him. I went totally gaga over Penhall. He is the kind of guy that makes me smile and I wanted to watch the next episode just to see him. I'm looking forward to watching more episodes of 21 JS and seeing how the story lines of each character progress.
  • Upon watching the pilot recently I began to wonder why in my youth was a I so fascinated with Hanson and the rest of the team.

It looked extremely dated! The picture and sound was old, the acting was over-the-top, and the unending '80s audio that accompanied the many montages were ridiculous. This episode focused on Hanson, and our introduction to the “chapel” through his eyes. His first case involved the investigation of an annoying high school kid and his involvement with stolen goods and a drug ring. Everything about this first episode is pretty deplorable, except for the smackdown Hanson puts on the kid at the end, making him cry like the baby he is. Oh how I love old 80/s TV programmes!!
  • An excellent start to an excellent show with a great bond being made with the stars by the end of the pilot episodes

This episode when it started I thought oh no what am i watching but as the story unravelled and with the humor therown in with Johnny's line's I just thought it was complete genius to combine serious drama and comedy and deal with real life issues. Johnny's eagerness to please as a rookie cop is so cute as well as funny right throughout the episode, then when he busts the bad guy and jenko congratulates him i think that seals the bond between them in a professional and personal way. the episode i think is really well directed acts as a lesson in life and teaches kids the rights and wrongs of life maybe without them knowing it
