24 Hour Catwalk

Show Summary

24 Hour Catwalk is the Lifetime competition series where host Alexa Chung gives four designers the chance to make their own line, with a catch. These design hopefuls take on the task of making a full line in only one day. Going to work with the sewing team, they quickly create a line and present the collection to judges including designer Cynthia Rowley, author and editor Derek Blasberg and more. If they have what it takes, they could win a $10,000 cash prize.

  • Most Racist Show on TV

I know Project Runway has had its issues with "people of color," but it's prejudicial decisions (almost completely due to Nina Garcia, IMO) are nothing compared to the farce that's paraded every week on 24 Hour Catwalk. Every week they parade some poor African-American designer onto the set, only to vote them off first - each time, even if the other "competitors" didn't complete their outfits, or didn't finish a hem, etc. This show is a travesty, and I'm not even a minority. It's painful to watch.

One more thing - both Alexa Chung and Cynthia Rowley need to get a meal! Or at least stop throwing up every meal after they eat it. They are the most anorexic-bulemic people I've seen on TV since Calista Flockhart on Ally McBeal! And to portray them as "fashion mavens?" Their outfits every week look like they've been plucked from the shelves of their local Goodwill.moreless
