  • Loved the season, hated the end

I loved "Live Another Day". It lived up to the action packed, exciting series of the past. Always love Keifer Sutherland. However, the writing of the last episode was awful. Left you hanging, without promise for future shows. And alert... do you REALLY have to kill ALL the women Jack loves? Come on!
  • 24 Lives On

Topical and action-packed, 24: Live Another Day is an exciting special event series. Former counterterrorist agent Jack Bauer comes out of hiding in order to prevent an assassination attempt on President James Heller during his visit to London; meanwhile a US aerial drone is hijacked by terrorists and used to launch an attack on a military convoy. The cast is especially good; as Kiefer Sutherland, Mary Lynn Rajskub, William Devane, and Kim Raver return, joined by Yvonne Strahovski, Benjamin Bratt, Tate Donovan, and Michelle Fairley. Additionally, the London setting gives the series a fresh look and feel (while still sticking to the overall format of the show). Also, the shortening to 12 episodes helps to keep the storytelling focused; with fewer tangents and extraneous characters. Grittier and more intense than past seasons, 24: Live Another Day is a riveting, high-adrenaline return to this groundbreaking series.moreless
  • *Spoiler alert* awful season

I am through the first 9 episodes at the moment, and for the record, I loved 24, I loved the adrenaline rush and was completely okay with the fact that they pretty much recited the same writing formula every season. But holy f**king s#!t balls has this season been god awful.

From MI5 doing the most half assed of jobs apprehending that arms dealer, having no one covering him and even allowing him to grab a grenade, to the terrorist lady being able to pick her daughter out of a HUMONGOUS chaotic crowd with the black and white unzoomed camera of the drone, to that drone then not being able to land a shot on its target; but, by far the f**king worst thing I've seen thus far in this season, was the, and I quote: "Top level assassin" having the drop on his target, and somehow f**king up and winging his target rather than landing a kill shot.

The writers really phoned it in on this one, and I pray to the TV deity that aloud this s#!t to taint one of my favorite shows, to send a bolt of lightning down upon the writers, should they ever try to continue this show after such an atrocity.

    Seriously f**k you writers.moreless
  • hmmmm i have nothing clever but a question

Why would the Americans think they should have to give jack up when the Russians were the ones who tried to use a dirty bomb in New York in the previous season? They should have been threatening them not saying they would give jack up etc? This type thing happens a lot in this show. I still watch it though just don't understand the logic sometimes. That made no sense to me anyway if anything the russians should have been apologizing etc not asking them to give jack to them.moreless
