    "Perfect"
I had my doubts about this show once. But when i first saw the amazing day 1 of Jack Bauer, it managed to kept me excited all time. But what i have never could expected was that the season was saving the best for last. I think that this is best episode i have ever seen of the show so far. Kiefer Sutherland performance is perfect, episode´s pace is powerful and manages to show you everything that must appear to satisfy the audience in the little time it has, its twists and turns are fantastic. And the last two minutes... simply unforgettable.

A really really long day, which has a really really stunning ending.
  • Discover how Jack... became Bauer.

The first season of 24 is the most symply of all the show. Without complex politics traps or bombs, this season is one of the very best because its superb quality on every episode.

And its end, it´s one of the best episodes of the show ever, and the best season finale.

In this episode we will find out how Jack Bauer let behind his initial behaviour to became in the most maverick and "break-the-rules" man. His final showdown with the Drazen´s is the best scene of the season, and the final seven minutes will make you get up of the seat.

    A beuatiful tragedy!.
  • Great PayOff!!!!!

    10
    "Perfect"
This 24 Season had a great Buil up, that I have no choice but to give a 10.

The Pay off is great, and the writers and the producers couldn´t do better.

How they tied Drazen, Kim, Jack, Teri, Nina and Palmer into this season conclusion was a genius Plan.

A sad Finale is better than the usuals happy finales. This make you feel this was not for nothing.

How they caught Nina was also great. It was impossible to discover in time that she was the mole, if she didn´t comitted a crucial mistake with Jack.

For the action I have no words, simple beautiful. Thanks god that Kim managed to escape for herself, was better this way.

And Finally Palmer take a decision regarding sherry.

Overral, a excellent payoff for a series that deserves to be one of yours top Shows.
  • Nothing quite like the greatest "24" finale/episode ever

    10
    "Perfect"
Say whatever you want, but the finale of S1 juggles great drama and great suspense without feeling rushed, convoluted, or underwhelming, resulting in an extremely satisfying finish to the season.

Jack-wise, the first third of the hour focuses on his confrontation with the Drazens (they die, he doesn't), and the rest on his race back to CTU to stop the treacherous Nina from escaping.

Meanwhile, the Palmer arc ends as Sherry crosses the line one too many times and gets slapped with a divorce. And Kim somehow escapes danger and gets back to CTU safe and sound.

All of these major plotlines are nicely wrapped up in the closing minutes, setting the stage for…something unexpected. Without giving too much away, the final scene is a moment that will prove to any first-time viewer that "24" is not your average television drama.

Jack's emotional breakdown and subsequent shootout with the Drazens, along with Palmer yelling Sherry's head off, constitutes the great drama, while Jack's race to CTU, juxtaposed with Nina making her escape, provides the great suspense.

The writers were essentially winging it throughout the second half (that's what I hear, in any case), and it's really kind of obvious when you look back on it, but it sure isn't when you watch this episode. The finale just feels perfect, like any other way to end the season wouldn't have felt right. So let us thank Stephen Hopkins for his tremendously awesome direction. We'd better, since it's his final "24" escapade.

    Hourly Highlight:

So long, Drazens! Don't let the door (or yet another of Jack's bullets) hit you on the way out! But really, I don't think any other Bigbad has had a better departure from the show than this. Plus, it gives us a glimpse of the Jack Bauer that we'll come to know and love in future seasons. Giggity? Yes. Yes, it is.
  • Great episode but has some leaks

    "Great"
This is a good episode! One of the best actually, it has some leaks though:

_ If Nina was the spy, how come Jamie was the one going to the bathroom to send information and the one answering the phone?!

there are some things unconcluded ...

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . That's all...thoug I have to reach the 100 words minimum so I'm just writing. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Please reply with your opinions about Jamie!
  • Best Finale EVER and one of the show top episodes!!!!

    10
    "Perfect"
The first season of 24 it's absolutely excellent. A truly masterpiece. For my, all episodes are perfect and any one falls from 9,5 because of its engaging plot, its surprising visual style, and its surprising twists during all the season.

This season may have a 9,8 or 9,9 out 10!!!!.

But this episode is very special. This one is not only the best episode of the season. This one may be the best episode of the whole series and the best finale ever!.

This episode is really breathtaking and powerful. Really memorable. The soundtrack is great and the performances, especially Kiefer Sutherland, are in the best level. And you will never forget the final twist which also marks the life of the main character for the following seasons...

You have to see this one!!!!. 10 out 10!!!!!
  • Superb season ending

    9.9
    "Superb"
Wow... The thing I love on this show is that you can never know what comes next. This episode is proof of it. Usually I am quite keen of keeping sames char for many seasons but this decision with Teri... wow.. I think it was a perfect mood and this episode will be really hard to forget.

First the shooting and Jack.. to see him broken as he learns Kim is dead and putting together all the puzzles when he learns that she is brought back to CTU...

and Palmer.. he just walking away from his wife. Very emotional. And it even gets more emotional with the last minutes. I have no words. Stunning story turning and it works so so amazingly.
  • good show

11:02 P.M.-11:07 P.M.: As Jack races to trade his life for that of his daughter's, Kimberly manages to find her way out of the freezing water. Kimberly

makes her way over the fence and is able to flag down a truck. Sherry is pissed off at her husband for continuing the charade that he is dead. He tells

her that he will not blow his cover until he knows Kimberly is safe. Mason gets a call from the highway patrol, who say they have found Kimberly. Kimberly

tells Mason that the Drazens are at the pier. Mason orders two tactical teams.

11:07 P.M.-11:12 P.M.: Jack arrives at the pier. Andre calls him on the phone, demanding to know where he is. Jack asks to speak with Kimberly, but Andre

refuses to put her on, which clues in Jack that they don't have her anymore. Jack phones CTU, and tells Nina that someone within CTU has tipped off the

Drazens that Palmer is still alive. Someone blabs to the press that Palmer is alive. Palmer violently confronts Sherry.

11:17 P.M.-11:20 P.M.: Nina makes another call to the Drazens to let them know Kimberly is now safe. Victor tells Nina to phone Jack and tell him that Kimberly

was found floating dead in the water, in hopes it would enrage him enough to come after the Drazens. Nina makes the call. Jack drops the phone and cries

on the dock at the loss of his daughter. Moments later, he returns to his car to rearm.

11:20 P.M.-11:23 P.M.: Jack hot wires a van and drives it through the front of the warehouse. He then goes after Drazen. Victor and Andre attempt to flee

to the boat. In a wild round of gunfire, Andre is shot. Victor has a perfect shot at Jack, but as he goes to make it, he discovers he is out of rounds.

He drops his gun and gives himself up. Jack empties his weapon into him. Victor's body falls back into the water.

11:28 P.M.-11:31 P.M.: Palmer is forced to make a statement to the media regarding the earlier report of his death. Mike asks Sherry to meet Palmer in the

ballroom. He warns her that she should use the opportunity to try to patch things up before they get any more out of hand.

11:31 P.M.-11:37 P.M.: Mason gets the call from the tactical team that Jack went in on his own, and eliminated seven men, including the Drazens. The news

confuses Teri, who decides to track down Nina to get answers as to what Jack had been involved with. Nina realizes her cover is now blown. She enters a

room and guns down a maintenance worker. Teri finds her talking on a cell phone in German. When Nina sees her there, she tells Teri it was the Frankfurt

division. Teri asks what's going on with Jack. Nina says that everything is fine and the Drazens are dead. Nina's phone rings again. Teri notices the body

in the corner. She tries to run, but Nina catches her before she can get out of the room. Jack contacts the harbormaster, and asks to claim Kimberly's

body. He's relieved and surprised to learn that Kimberly is in fact alive. Jack gets in his car, and calls Mason to inform him that Nina is a traitor.

11:42 P.M.-11:43 P.M.: Jack calls back CTU, and asks them to pull the security footage of the room where Jamie committed suicide. The tapes were erased.

They try to pull up the digital backups.

11:43 P.M.-11:48 P.M.: Sherry meets her husband in the ballroom. He tells her she has lost touch with what it's like to be a wife. He tells her he never

wants to see her again, and asks for a divorce, because she isn't fit to be First Lady. CTU Security calls Jack after finding the footage he requested.

They patch it through to his car. Jack forwards the video to Mason who then locks down the building.
  • The finale was just about perfect!

    10
    "Perfect"
The finale delivers all with an action-packed, suspenseful and emotional episode. It doesn't have a single weak spot at all, in fact, it has some of the most memorable moments in the history of 24 including:

-The break up of Palmer and Sherry.

-Jack's reaction to Nina's phone call.

    -The Drazen rampage.

-The confrontation between Jack and Nina.

    -Teri's death.

The moment where Palmer ends his marriage to Sherry was truly brilliant and in my opinion its their best scene of the season.

The highlight of the episode to me was when Nina calls Jack and informs him that Kim is "dead". It was a wonderful piece of acting and how his heartbreak turned to anger over a matter of seconds was breathtaking. The rampage when he takes out the Drazens was awesome and are easily the best action scenes involving Jack so far. Although it could be seen as unrealistic, we know that when you are angry you are capable of anything.

The revelation that Nina murdered Jamey, and she didn't actually commit suicide was a nice twist. And uh oh, whats Teri doing hanging around Nina? I was shouting 'Get out!' to her at this point. I don't think Nina ever wanted to harm Teri but seeing as she got in the way and seen things that she wasn't meant to, she had no other choice but to kill her. Nina's attemped escape was great considering we'd never seen Nina use a gun, as well as Jack grabbing her by the neck and nearly killing her. I loved their confrontation.

The ending when Jack discovered Teri's body was unexpected and upsetting. When Teri's head dropped as he picked her up combined with the expression on Jack's face as he realised she was gone, was very sad. =[ and the split screen with them both together at the start of the day was enough to make anyone cry.

Quote of the hour! David Palmer: "I just don't think you're fit to be the first lady."
  • One hell of an episode... will always be high on the list of episodes for the series

    "Perfect"
I have seen many an episode of 24 in the last few years, whether it be by means of DVD or DVR... they all seem to be amazing in their own way. But this episode... this finale... was AMAZING! I loved the end and I loved the plot and.... what cant you love about this one?

We learn much more about Jacks character and we learn the love and sadness a family can share... a great shocking twist at the end helped to add a perfect cap off to a great season.

Must see for all fans of... anything! Great classic!
  • This was the besst 24 episode ever. I'm not kidding.

Spoilers for thsoe who hadn't watched 24 Season 1 yet.

How has 24 proved that it can be the best show ever started in Season 1. Ever since Kim was kidnapped and tied up and put in teh trunk of a car, someone who's not supposed to eb bad is bad after all and killed Jack's wife, and so on. 24 has done so good already that I don't thinka ny show eats it.

This episode had an awesome ending. Jack finally caught Nina, but found out that she killed Teri. Jack is raged. In the middle, Jack beat at least 10 people on his own. I was amazed. Jack's gotta be the best TV character of all time. I love this episode so much I have nothing else to say.
  • Great Season, but this was one of the worst episodes.

    7.5
    "Good"
Okay, I'm fine with Teri dying. What I found completely out of character was Nina being the insider. Did they just make this up when they got to the end of the season, or was she a poor actor all along? This is not a shocker, it's simply out of character. Do we start next season with Palmer being Elvis in hiding? We suspend our belief, sure, but there needs to be some character consistency. Sorry folks, it does bring closure, it had its moments, but the Nina thing blew it. Can't wait to get season 2 and drive this bad episode out of mind.
  • This is the best episode of 24 in my opinion. It has action, plot twists and that much needed emotion factor.

    10
    "Perfect"
The episode is the last episode of season one, which in my opinion is probably one of the best seasons of 24. It had a lot of stunning episodes but this one just outshines the rest. Jack Bauer is led to believe his daughter is dead by the evil Drazen family in a plot to kill him. At first he crys when he hears this news, but then anger overwhelms him and he goes and gets his revenge. kiefer Sutherland gives a very moving, realistic performance as he has done in every episode and season of 24. You really believe that he IS Jack Bauer. The supporting cast also give good performances. Sean Callery continues to produce good music for 24 which creates a sense of tension, and suspense. It can also be exciting at times. It really does create a good atmosphere. There is a SHOCKING plot twist at the end of this episode which will have you crying. probably. The shootout in this episode is excellent and everything about this episode is just flawless. A perfect episode of television.
  • Staggering. This episode emotionally tears away at Jack constantly, leading to one of the greatest climaxes in TV history.

    10
    "Perfect"
Nina, that slimy mole, tells Jack that Kim is dead. That she tried to get away from the Draazens and ended up drowning. That the Port Authority reported her body in the water. This is one of those moments where you think, "OMG, Jack is sooooo pissed now!" With a look of disbelief on his face, he hangs up on Nina, gets in a van and literally drives the van INTO the Draazen's hideout, taking out everyone in his way. After shooting the younger of the Draazens, Jack is hit and lands on the ground. Victor walks over and fires but--there's no ammo in the gun. Jack gets up and fires his gun. Again. Again. Again, and again until Victor hits the water and Jack is out of ammo.

Soon, he learns that Nina is the mole, and is on her throat with a gun. Unfortunately, Jack releases her and she's taken away into custody. Jack meets up with Kim and looks for Teri in CTU. But surprise, surprise. Before Nina was captured, she killed Teri. This is by far the biggest tearjerker in 24 history, more than you could really ever get in the 6th season. If you're looking for a season to get on DVD, get season one. This episode is worth the whle DVD.
  • The finale to end all finales.

    10
    "Perfect"
After the rush that was season 1, we get left with the most thrilling and satisfing conclusion ever. All events, all characters, all plots, arcs and emotions, all lead to this. After the OMFG shocker that ended the pervious episode, we knew that this was destined to be a classic. And it was nothing short of being one of the best episodes, on any show, ever.

Palmer has a finale confrotation with Sherry, in some scenes that truely bring the house down. The best acting from Haysbert and Penny all season. For once their story is truely interesting.

The Jack story line speaks for it's self. He arrives to the docks to make a trade for him for his daughter, with the Drazens. Of course now that we know that Nina is the mole, she can pretty much manipulate Jack any way the Drazens want. Which is what she does, telling Jack that his daughter is dead. This now only makes him break down into a teary mess, but propels him into a ferocious, vengeful, rampage on the Drazens. Their dock shoot out is without a dout, the best action scene of the first two seasons. After taking care of the Drazens, there is onlt one more person left to take down. Jack rushes to CTU to stop Nina, before she escapes. The result is climactic brilliance.

The ending tells you that this is behond a TV show, with lots of drama and suspence. It sets Jack's charatcer up for every season after it, and propeles 24 into history forever. Love it or hate it (I loved it), it is the most sitisfying conclusion ever, to the best pilot season ever. Congrats 24, my hat is off to you!

Top 3 moments (too many to choose from!)

    - Jack's final confrontation with Nina. Remains one of my favourite dialouge scenes ever. ("Your job? How many people died today becuase you were doing your job!?")

    - The first silent clock ever. Actually scared me the fist time I saw it! Sad, sad ending.

    - The dock shoot out. What else? When I see Jack stuffing his jacket with ammo, I get so pumped up!
  • Spectacular show ruined by thriller cliches and lame plot-twists that make no sense.

    1.4
    "Abysmal"
How am I the only dissenting voice here? This episode was a complete farce! It makes no sense for Nina to have been the mole all along. She had more opportunities to kill each of the Bauers than I can count. But revealing her in the last two episodes, that is what garners ratings.

I'm so angry. The first 12 episodes of this show were spectacular. The Kim and company running through terrible parts of LA, being captured, being held, the breakfast Palmer death threat, the Jamie turned spy plot-line, it all was so tight.

But somewhere after the Bauer females are rescued something happened. All sorts of strange inconsistencies and lame plot devices crept in to a show that had been defying all those cliches so valiantly. Traumatic Amnesia? another kim kidnapping? about 40 Mrs Palmer "I'm doing all this for the good of my family" speeches? Maybe the writers only sketched the first half out in case the show wasn't a hit. Because the last few arcs were terrible. Here's looking forward to next season, and hopefully some ridiculous plot-twist free stories. Just from the first half of the season alone, I know the potential is there!

One of the best pieces Ive ever watched from a television series. I didnt watch it live, I watched it on DVD. The death of Teri Baurer at the end was one of the biggest plot twists of the entire season and was one of the best ways to end the show I could think of. Granted I liked her character and would have liked to see her live on to the second season, I think "no one saw the ending coming from a mile away" aspect of the shock was pretty big. That is what you look for in a TV series. I loved the final action scenes with Jack and the Drazens, I thought that story ended well. And the story with Palmer and his wife ended exactly how we expected it to. Ultimately it was a great first season and a great finale to set up season 2s early drama.
  • The pentacle of drama and surprise in this gripping end to a benchmark season!

    10
    "Perfect"
This episode is why 24 is so loved. The audience is still reeling from finding out that Jack's partner, who has been offering him intel from CTU is working for the bad guys. Little does the audience know, it is about to get an even bigger shock. Jack has been through a hell of a day and Kim has been captured an excessive amount of times. But things arn't over. Jack is thrust into action, taking care of his enemies. He gets his daughter and thinks he is home free, however it is not to be. Myers alludes CTU guards and Jack discovers a tragic sight when he returns. The audience is left shocked but amazed and delighted for what they have watched.
  • Nina tells Jack that Kims body was found near a dock Jack rushes to the Dock and fights Drazen's men and escapes Jack goes back to CTU and is relieved to find Kim safe but Teri missing Jack frantically searches for Teri and finds her dead murdered by Nina

    "Perfect"
The season finale of the first season of 24 is probably the greatest season finale I have see for any show with the possible exception of last year's The Shield finale. The action and suspense just seems to escalate throughout the epidsode with the shocking conclusion of the death of Teri. I remember that scene in my head perfectly (6 years later) when Jack realized she was missing and ran out and saw Teri dead. This was the best episode of 24 to date to wrap up the best season of 24 to date. 24 has run it's course IMO and the first season won't be topped.
  • this is my favorite finale!

This is my favorite finale! 24 has 6 seasons and finales but the first finale as well as the first season is still my favorite. 24 is already my favorite show of all times and the first season is exactly why i watch this serie. It just has so much action especially when Jack Bauer goes in a rage (you gotta love that part). And when he kills Drazen. . . . .finally!! Mann, i just hate nina and the fact that she dident die right away made me mad! mann this season as well as the finale are just the best ever!

First season of 24 was a roller coaster: it had ups, it had downs, but it was one intense ride. All of the story lines are shaken up as the finale arrives: Palmer tells Sherry to leave, Nina's secret is revealed, and Jack finishes with the Drazens.

This episode easily qualyifies as one of the best TV episodes ever produced.

Very intense, full of drama and action, with probably one of the most shocking endings ever.

After Jack's told his daughter is dead, he feels he has nothing to lose, so without backup, he literraly crushes the Drazens. One of the best action scenes in the episode.

Nina tries to break out CTU, but her plan fails. On her escape attempt, she killed alot of CTU workers, and one key character: Teri.

Yes, Teri was assasinated by Nina in cold blood.

The episode ends with Jack holding Teri in his hands. Tearjerker.

David, after finally realizing how Sherry is toying with him, tells Sherry to leave - but not just for a few days, but forever.

Overally, the episode didn't have a single weak spot. Perfection.
  • A rollercoaster of an episode. Pure unadulterated genius.

    10
    "Perfect"
It's not often that I give something a perfect score, but if 24's first season finale doesn't deserve it then the world is a screwed up place.

This episode is perhaps the most thrilling, action-packed, revealing and emotional episode of the first season. And that twist? I didn't see it coming from a mile away.

This episode comes at you like a freight train and hits you, hard. It pummels you with suspenseful moment after suspenseful moment, builds up to a franctically blood-filled crescendo, and finally ends it on a tragic note. I especially liked how Teri's death itself was underplayed in a way. Not shown explicitly, but hinted at, so that even though it is obvious to the audience what took place as Nina (that B****!) exits the room, we are still left to wonder - to hope - that somehow, we'll see Teri Bauer alive again.

Just as that hope is tantalisingly dangled in front of us, however, it is suddenly and cruelly withdrawn, as Jack holds Teri's bleeding body in his arms, weeping. And the curtains close; the credits roll.

Adding to the finale's greatness is the fact that Jack, CTU etc are put in question again. For instance, as Jack holds Nina by the throat, gun pointed to her head, he asks: Jack: "How many people died today, Nina? How many people died as a result of you 'just doing your job'?"

    Nina: "And you, Jack?"

This adds another dimension to 'the bad guys' and fleshes them out a bit. That's what I love about 24: bad guys aren't the standard cookie-cutter bad guy types. They have depth, and their drives and motivations are exposed, or at least hinted at, to the audience. Conversely, the dark side of the supposed 'good guys' is also exposed. So much so that sometimes you are left wondering who the 'bad guys' really are in all of this, and if there really are any.

All in all, masterful work. Perhaps the best finale I have ever seen.

Oh, and I think Palmer absolutely did the right thing. His wife is a snake. I understand her motivations but I think she is a slimy, despicable, pitiful being.

I just hope he wins the presidential race...
  • The 1st Season Finale of "24" is pure TV Gold.

    10
    "Perfect"
So, weren't expecting that, were we? A death of a really important character? That's "24" for ya, a nightmare for any actor for their fear of being killed off randomly but in a way that isn't senseless.

First off, DAMN YOU Nina. Jack was sleeping with the enemy, and Nina killed the bride, with a child on the way. I can pretty much conclude that Jack Bauer will NEVER be the same.

The shootout at the docks was very excellent. It was pure Jack Bauer. "That is why he will come. Believe me, I know." Then, POW! Jack Bauer slams into the area where Victor Drazen is residing, and gets owned minutes later by Jack pumping several bullets into him, and even as Victor hits the water, Jack empties every last bullet from his chamber into him. His gun clicks several times and he realizes he's ran out. Jack Bauer got his revenge. And it was super-shweet. But Nina...damn you.
  • WOW

This episode was the best conclusion to any season of any show I've ever seen. Jack Bauer takes out Victor Drazen after finding out his daughter died (though she didn't). Future President Palmer finds out that his wife was the enemy the entire time and he dismisses her from his presence forever. We find out that Nina Myers was the real mole at CTU and was against Jack Bauer the whole time. The ending was so depressing when we see that Nina murdered Terri. This episode had the most amount of action as well as the most amount of emotion in this entire season. (This is the best TV episode I've ever seen thus far.)

If you read my reviews you might find it weird that I watch 24, since I rate alot of 24 episode low.

Don't worry, I heart 24, and I enjoy almost every episode, but if the writers are capable of episodes like THIS, then of course i'll complain when they show bunch of fillers and predictable episodes.

Season 1 started alright. With maybe a little too much emotion, but it helped us understand the situation between Jack and his family, and to find out what man Jack Bauer is.

Up until episode 14-15(When Alexis makes his first appearance) the season goes uphill. Excellent episodes, excellent scenes.

But then, 24 loses it. Kim and Teri storyline goes absolutely wrong, when they are in the safe house, nothing happens, of course then we get a car chase, amnesia, etc.

Last 2 episodes the show gets back on track, though.

The finale played a big part in the whole thing.

The gunfight scene was brilliant, although it was a bit too short and seemed to easy. It makes it seem ; why the hell did Jack wait 24 episodes, if he could killed all of them alone?

Palmer had his last hour as senator in the limelight - and the Palmer family subplot got wrapped up with probably the strongest Palmer S1 scene, the break - up. Great acting on both sides.

The final scene was excellent, the way splitscreens were used was breathetaking.

Oh, and musically, the whole episode kicked.

So overally, S1 ended, which is a good thing because it gives room for S2 which is a much much better season IMHO.

    S1 7/10

    S1 Finale 9/10
  • The best conclusion to any season that is both action-packed and an emotional roller coaster. (No Spoilers)

I do not have words to describe this episode. This conclusion was better than the ending of any TV serial or any movie or both combined.

Jack Bauer longest day is on the verge of getting finished and he has yet to meet the worst of it. In the last episode we were revealed to the other mole, who turned out to be one of Jack's closest collegues. The first 20 and the last 10 minutes of this episode will strike you with the utmost awe. This episode on a whole provides us with breathtaking and heart pounding sequences that really show us the intensity 24 is all about!

Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer is the man stealing the whole show. The writers provide us some of the best dialogues we've seen throughout 24 that fit perfectly with the situations present in this episode. The dialogues between Nina and Jack in this episode are the best I've ever seen.

The episode works with the help from the script and plot and is near perfection in all the other aspects.

Overall, this'll provide you with one of the most groundbreaking and incredible TV hours of your life, especially one which you would never forget.

No wonder Jack will be who he is with all

Of that rage and anger. Jack will lose his wife

And almost his daughter due to Nina being a trenchcoat and

That will set the tone of the episodes the show will

Become IMO! I was really in shock as now season two

Will find Jack as a widower!

This is exactly why I watch this series. While some episodes of this season (and all shows in general) had some unnecessary subplots, this episode is one of the best episodes in 24 and television history. The writing, the acting, and the cinematography are about as good as it gets and the ending shows just how realistic and groundbreaking this show really is. Although the surprise ending used during this episode has been overused throughout much of the series (especially Day 5 that has suffered greatly due to this) this episode stands by itself as one of the most daring and innovative episodes from any show. This was the perfect ending to a near-perfect season.
