Nina: Tony, I need you to do something for me.
Tony: For you or for Jack?
-
Mason: You have no idea what you're getting yourself into.
Jack: Why don't you explain it to me. You've got five seconds.
-
Jamey: How long is this going to take?
Nina: Why? Are we interrupting your social life?
Jamey: At least I have one.
-
Tony: I don't know, Jack. If we start screening Palmer, they might think we're investigating him because he's black.
Jack: That's because we are investigating him because he's black. That makes him the most likely target.
-
Jack: I got her password.
Teri: What is it?
Jack: LIFESUCKS, one word.
Teri: Perfect.
-
Jack: I was thinking, we should try and remember what it was like when we were kids, y'know?
Teri: It's a different... world now, Jack.
-
Jack: Are you planning on seeing my daughter tonight?
Vincent: No, man, we broke up. You know that.
Jack: Yeah, I want to make sure you know that.
-
Kim: So, is "she" still giving you the cold shoulder?
Jack: If by "she," you're referring to your mother, I'd appreciate it if you referred to her by her name: Mom. And no, she's just busy.
Kim: She's busy a lot.
-
Vincent: Chill, man. Look, I don't know where she's at. You got my word.
Jack: (being sarcastic) That's a real comfort, Vincent. Knowing that I got your word.
-
Jack: 200,000 dollars fell out on the way. I traced that money to an offshore account in Aruba. I have a funny feeling about that account, George. I think it's yours.
-
Jack: Nina, you can look the other way once and it's no big deal. Except it makes it easier for you to compromise the next time and pretty soon, that's all you're doing is compromising because that's how you think things are done. You know the guys I blew the whistle on? You think they were the bad guys? 'Cause they weren't. They weren't bad guys. They were just like you and me. Except they compromised once.

Jack: (voiceover) The following takes place between Midnight and 1:00 A.M. on the day of the California presidential primary. Events occur in real time.
