1:00 A.M.-1:05 A.M.: Jack and the others are under fire. Snipers on both sides of the alley are trying to take them out. Jack lets Kate out of the trunk of the car, and trio race back inside the building. Wallace reveals the attackers were probably sent by his employer to kill him. Jack acts quickly and calls Michelle over at CTU for satellite pictures of what is going on. Michelle informs Jack that he can only call her on her cell phone as she is being monitored.



1:05 A.M.-1:08 A.M.: Kim is advised that Ramone is going to live and informs the police officer that the gun was hers and that she is a suspect in a murder.

Panic is ensuing in the streets. Palmer orders the military put on alert to control the panic that is beginning in all the major city centers. Back at CTU Michelle is checking on the satellite photos for Jack. Carrie sees her and reports it to Tony.



1:08 AM - 1:10 AM: The trio are still trapped in the building waiting for Michelle's satellite photos. Carrie is watching her on a security monitor. Jack tells Kate why Wallace needed her to help him. He promises he will not let her get on the plane with him.



1:15 AM - 1:16 AM: Kim is en route to the police station to be processed. The officer tells her she can find out about the officer that was in the accident with her and Miguel, as well as how Miguel is doing once they get to the station.

Michelle finds the info she needs and leaves her desk to call Jack. Carrie lets Tony know and he tells her that he will deal with her on his own.



1:16 AM - 1:20 AM: Michelle heads for the bathroom and calls Jack on his cell. She leaves the bathroom and bumps into Tony. She lies to him again, telling him she doesn't know where Jack is, but goes on to tell him that he must warn President Palmer not to act on the intel of the recording until Jack finishes his investigation.



1:20 AM - 1:22 AM: Back at President's LA office, Palmer is met by Lynne who tells him that the Secretary of Defense needs to know how much time he plans to give Jack in his investigation. He tells her he will give him up until the planes start dropping their bombs. Mike begins to brief the President that racial riots are breaking out in Georgia. There are not enough National Guardsmen to quell all of the riots, so the President orders all the men to one part of Georgia that the media is focusing on in order to scare other would be racists into line.



1:27 AM - 1:34 AM: Yusef begins laying down smoke grenades to cover their exit. The trio emerge and Jack begins taking out the snipers. The newly armed Kate also scores a hit on one of the snipers, hesitating a moment before pulling the trigger. The trio narrowly make it to the SUV provided by Yusef. Wallace has been hit, and he's bleeding badly. He refuses Jacks offer to go to the hospital for treatment.

Palmer instates a curfew and orders the National Guard to begin arresting anyone caught breaking the law. The LAPD reports automatic weapons fire at Jack's location. Tony orders Michelle again to reveal Jack's location. She finally tells him what she has been up to. She gives Tony Jack's number and he calls him ordering him to come in to CTU. Jack tells him that Wallace will not cooperate with CTU and will only deal with Jack.



1:38 A.M.-1:40 A.M.: Kim arrives at the police station where an officer begins to debrief her. He tells her that they know that Gary is responsible for Carla's murder, after finding a witness and his prints on the weapon. Kim is off the hook for the murder, but must still answer charges regarding her escape and Officer Brown's injuries as a result of her and Miguel's escape. He tells her that Officer Brown will be fine.



1:40 A.M.-1:42 A.M.: Kate is on the phone with her company arranging Wallace's flight. Before she can complete it, Wallace loses consciousness and Jack redirects Yusef to a hospital to stabilize him.



1:42 A.M.-1:43 A.M.: Kim calls CTU to talk to Tony. She asks him if he can call the DA's office for her to help her with her current problem. Tony tells her he will, but that he knows she'd rather be speaking to her father. Her heart leaps when Tony tells her that her father is alive.



1:43 A.M.-1:48 A.M.: Jack and the others arrive at the clinic and with gun drawn, carries Wallace into the emergency room. He explains the importance of the witness to the doctor and orders him to keep him alive.

Kim calls Miguel. He less than thrilled to hear from her, and tells her that he doesn't want to see her anymore. After he hangs up, it is revealed that he had lost a leg from the accident.



1:51 A.M.-1:53 A.M.: Michelle is feeling guilty, so she goes to talk to Tony, but Tony doesn't feel like talking.



1:53 A.M.-1:55 A.M.: The president is being briefed on the status of the bombers on their way to attack the nations the they believe are responsible for the nuclear bomb. Afterwards Lynn and Mike tell him that there has been two fatalities in Georgia as a result of the National Guard attempting to disperse the crowd. One, a leader of the dissent, the other was a young boy of Middle Eastern decent. The President orders Lynne to find out the boy's name, and orders the National Guard to remain on alert.



1:55 A.M.-2:00 A.M.: Wallace needs to go into surgery. The doctor, without proper facilities to effectively assist him, begins to remove the bullet. Wallace pushes the doctors off of him and calls Jack. He tells Jack, muttering the evidence is on a memory chip inside of something, and then he goes into cardiac arrest and dies. The doctors struggle to save him but are unsuccessful. Jack agonizes over the lost intel as the bombers continue to make way towards their targets. He stares at an X-Ray of Wallace when he notices something. The piece of shrapnel Wallace told him was the reason the metal detector went off earlier, appears to be a memory chip. Jack grabs a scalpel and digs it out of him.

Tick, tick, tick...
