There is the firt Payoff that the writers delivered.

Now you have time to see some actions scenes, and some consequences from that.

Palmer adminstration Plot is total filler, just details that the writers did to fill the episodes.

Kim finally get some fine scenes. She knows that her father is not dead, you will see what happened with her boyfriend and finally the writers ended this Kim fugitive plot, since she is free of charges.

Michelle is under extreme pressure, both tony and carrie, this create some some tense moments.

The action itself was good, and there are tense moments in the hospital too, with a interesting endind.

Now you wait for the second pay off.
  • Much better than some previous episodes

I really liked this. Some episode before this have been slow and nothing have happened but this was none of them. We had action and shooting and excitement from the first minutes. The whole thing on that house where they were surrounded - it was well done. All the tension there. And Kate with gun. Her reaction was well. Shows that she is not like those other guys but when needed, she will handle.

Tony and Michelle were also great. I did like the independence Michelle came out and denied everything. The scene when she comes from bathroom and Tony is behind the door. It was unexpected.

And the ending.. the clinic. Even Kim and her calls. She was not annoying in this episode. So good episode. A really good one.

    "Good"
This episode does a good job of providing a big action sequence while at the same time progressing the story at a nice pace.

Jack finds himself in a shootout where the evidence of the Cyprus recording's fabrication is at stake. He comes up with a plan to escape the shooters and get Wallace out of the country. Blood and bullets make for high excitement.

Meanwhile, Palmer's in a self-contained plotline that involves racist riots in Georgia. He orders the National Guard to stop these attacks, and there's something later on about a little boy accidentally killed thanks to that order; nothing I particularly care about. Though mentioning the racist riots alone lends some credibility to the realism of the "24" universe.

Michelle's spent the last couple hours helping Jack in his quest, but now Tony finally comes around and decides to join her in assisting Jack, which ripens their relationship some more. Tony and Michelle's, that is.

Jack's misadventures take him from the warehouse to a clinic, what with Wallace being shot in the neck. By hour's end, Jack finds the evidence he needs, but he has to get his hands a little messy, if you know what I mean. Just another example of how the writers are the masters.

    Hourly Highlight:

Jack finding the evidence. What's so cool about that, you ask? …Shut up and watch it.
  • A blah blah episode with a kick ass ending.

Is it me or did this episode seem to go on forever? Even though the action scenes with Jack were quite good to watch, they were really long drawn out. But the ending of the episode was extremely well thought-out and unpredictable, and now the chip is found the rest of the season really takes off.

I didn't like what Tony said to Michelle in this episode. But thankfully, things starts to get much better between them towards the end of the hour. We realised that those two had the hots for each other earlier on in the day, so instead of bickering, I say its about time they do something about their feelings! I reckon Tony resents that Michelle is on Jack's side and not his. After the love triangle between him, Jack and Nina in season 1, it wouldn't be surprising. And damn that Carrie, I'm convinced she is the most hated character in 24 history. The b!tch fight with her and Michelle is quite annoying, and out of the two women it is definitely Carrie who comes out as the immature one.

I can't believe Kim confessed everything to the Police officer, but lucky for her the charges against her were dropped. I was pleased that her scenes in this episode were normal for once. The phone conversation with Tony when she found out Jack is alive was great, I really felt her relief.

The Palmer storyline in this episode involves ordering the National Guard to stop racist riots resulting from the bomb. A young boy ends up getting killed by accident and I thought Palmer's reaction to this was really well acted.

Quote of the hour! Nurse: "Sir, I will call the police!" *Jack pulls a gun on her* Jack Bauer: "Lady, I am the police! Now open the door!" Nurse: "Let him in. Let him in!"

Jack, Kate and Wallace fight to escape from a deadly band of commandos - Certainly some of the best scenes of the episode, with Jack being put into panic mode once Wallace was shot in the neck, possibly losing the evidance he has against the recording. The hospital scene was great, where Jack found the evidance that he needed after an intense seen with Wallace as he died. Palmer decides to take a stronger stance against the civil unrest resulting from the bomb explosion - I actually didnt mind the White House scenes this time. The actions taken against the Civil unrest were cool, most importantly the curfew that was established by Novick. Tony's trust in Michelle is broken when he suspects her of betraying him- Filler part of the episode, though the last scene that they had together was pretty good. Kim's worries seem to be over when she learns the charges against her have been dropped- The phone conversation with Migeul was the only good part of the episode from Kims perspective...
  • good episode

Jack, Kate and Wallace fights there way out of a city corner they are trapped in. The resulting nuclear explosion have caused los angeles to erupt in a civil unrest. tony confirms that michelle is indeed working against him so she can help jack get back at CTU with the recording. Kim learns that the charges against her have been dropped. This episode take stuff out of the headlines like the LA City riots and the post 911 anti arab sentiments. the familiar themes are used to make the plot of 24 more convincing, this is a very watchable episode.

when he notices something. The piece of shrapnel Wallace told him was the reason the metal detector went off earlier was actually the memory chip. Jack

grabs a scalpel and digs it out of him

  • A very bad and overrated episode.

    "Mediocre"
There really wasn't much to say about this episode. Just....blah.

    Pros

-Good music during many parts of this episode, especially during the action sequences.

-Cool beginning. It's beginnings like the one in this episode that really make this a real-time show.

-Some mildly interesting stuff with Michelle at CTU.

-Some good acting by Dennis Haysbert during a ridiculous storyline.

-Nice action scene near the middle of the episode. I liked all of the smoke in the alley. Kate Warner's kill was hilarious and made me hate her even more.

-Tense moment when Wallace was shot.

-Good scene where Kim realizes that Jack is still alive.

-"Lady, I *am* the police." = best line and moment of the night by far.

-*Awesome* moment where Jack dug into Wallace's dead body for the chip to the horror of everyone watching.

    Cons

-Kim's idiocy by revealing all of that information to the police absolutely blew my mind. Please God, let her die before this series ends one day. Also, what the hell is up with Kim getting so much screen time in these past couple of episodes? I realize that the writers put themselves in a very difficult decision with the direction they decided to take the show after the nuke blew up, but...man.

-Again, more bitchy Tony. Please stop that 24, please stop that.

-Idiotic storyline about unrest somewhere in Georgia. An entire storyline just to show Palmer's "resolve?" We get it already, we do.

-Idiotic and pointless scene with Miguel. There was no reason to show him as an amputee and the entire scene was the very definition of "filler."

-Stupid thing with Wallace dying. Like we didn't see that coming a mile away that he would die one second before he could tell Jack where the chip was.
  • A normal episode with an outstanding action sequence

    9.3
    "Superb"
This is a normal episode of 24 with an abmornal shooting sequence. Like usual, we get a little closer to everything coming together, Jack gets to completeely rocks, and characters are developed a little bit more.

Palmer: The situation Palmer is in is very well written. I love watching someone in a position of power have to make hard decisions because the dramatic suspense over the outcome to those decision is extremely effective. Here is no different. While I don't really think that an uncontainable riot would break out in about 30 to 45 min, I love the idea. Watching Palmer wade through the situation, unsure of what happens next or what move will end in tragedy is almost like the first season agian when Jack was wading through the Drazen's plans. The only I didn't really like about it was the reduced role of Mike Novack. The guy was taking some serious steps in the last episode, and in this episdoe there is no evidence of it. He's back to being the guy who is behind the President 100 percent, which doesn't make for good drama. But I guess since it is in the charater of Novack, it's really not that big a deal.

CTU: Tony goes full circle in this episode. He goes from Jack's foil in season 1, to Jack's ally against Mason, and now back to Jack's foil. I was pretty disappointed cause it was almost like he didn't learn anything through the previous episodes and that is despite his unorthodox ways of doing things, Jack always does whats best. But then I remembered that Tony has always been a rules player, so this wasn't THAT out of character for him. I was very relieved when he started acting liek the old Tony and trusting Jack. And I like Dressler. She is a believable as someone who is inexperienced in stuff of this magnitude, but someone who also has a strong resolve. But I hate Carrie Turner. Not cause she is portrayed as someone the audience is suppose to dislike, just because of how she just ends up looking like a tattle-tale. The back story of the conflict between her and Dressler is pretty shallow and not anything we've never seen before. It was done better in season 1 with Alberta Green.

Kim: Thank God Kim gets a break. There's not much to say cause everything is ok for Kim in this episode...unless you count the drama with Miguel. I thought it was sad...the poor guy lost a leg helping Kim, I'd be kinda pissed off too. So for once, everything that happened to Kim in this episode is believeable. I don't think we've seen the last of Gary, but I'm actually looking forward to that...

Jack: Holy Crap. Jack kicks serious @$$ in this episode. I loved seeing the ex-military side of Jack, and I think this is the most we've seen of it so far. The shoot-out was extremely well shot, and that has alot of it to do with being shot from Kate Warner's POV. It was a new take on something that is very old to Jack. And I was happy that Yusef Auda survived, and also happy Wallace died. Sounds bad as that may, that character got on my nerves. I never was clear on what his motives were, and what drove him. And the reason why he would have to kill Kate once he got to his location was sketchy to say the least. I hope his motives become clearer once we found out about his employer. And the end...I loved it from a cinematic and story telling standpoint. But I just find it hard to believe that the microchip was in his rib cage. he is suppose to be this hardcore military guy, and I guess I wouldn't rule it out, but the recording has only been an issue for at most 3 hours now (can't remember what episode they came up in, but I know was 3 or less). So did this guy stuff a microchip into his ribcage about 3 hours ago? The stitches there do look pretty new. Did he not have ANY better place to hide it? How exactly was he gonna get them to jack like he promised once he was in the air or was he lying? This is one of those things that I feel is just a plot device to be cool for the sake of being cool. It works, as long as you don't think too hard about it.

I like the ending. For the first time in a while, I dont knwo where the writer's are going next time. I like the feeling.
