After the Last Intense episode, it is normal that the level of intensity is lower.

Now Jack knows the leader Location, kill eddie and his gang and then go after Joe. In the Beginning the scenes were good between them, but later, the writers buy some time until the end of the episode to bring a good cliffhanger.

Even with is death sentence, mason is back to CTU to lead this crisis.

In this episode we discovered who is alive.

Palmer situation in his administration come to a brief resolution about Rayburn plot.

Kim situation gets worse wbut nothing beyond the usual.

CTU is bombed.. oh.. Tony is all right, thanks good but that cannot be said about Paula and she is the only one who can retrieve the data they have on bombs. And George comes back after yelling on Tony and makes a decision he could not make - they won't let Paula to be taken to hospital. She will try to give their the encryption key and then die. And the talk Tony had with the other agent about Paula.. it was sweet.. and shows there is a big different between George and Tony in charge. Jack does little shooting.. little more shooting and what he finds in the end.. wow.. Can we have Nina back? :D As I did like her char even thought what she did was cruel.

While everyone's reeling from the events of the last hour, Jack gets right down to business and hunts down Joseph Wald, the mastermind of the CTU bombing (but not the nuke). This is the best part of the episode, but some of the events occurring on other fronts aren't anything that I'd ignore.

Mason returns to CTU despite his radiation poisoning, and Tony and Michelle try to revive Paula so they can retrieve critical intelligence on the nuke. Those are the remotely interesting plotlines, anyway. There's also Kim and the Warners, but……where am I going with this?

Plus, Palmer finds out about Rayburn's treachery and promptly dismisses him from the big underground headquarters of the OC. So, was Rayburn supposed to last longer on the show and did Timothy Carhart just have other commitments, or did the writers plan the "Rayburn out, Stanton in" thing from the beginning? Guess I'll never know.

Again, Jack's scenes are what make this episode. His screentime with Wald is great, and by hour's end, the suspense pays off with an unexpected twist that I won't spoil for you. Though if you really don't want to know, I would advise you not to read any more of my reviews. You could also, I dunno, watch the damn show.

11:02 A.M.-11:05 A.M.: CTU has been bombed, leaving bodies and debris everywhere. Tony struggles to save Paula, as she's the only person who knows the decryption

sequence for data sent to the CIA's head office. Megan begins to have a seizure outside the building, and an ambulance rushes her off. Rayburn attempts

to blackmail Lynne with the information about Jack's call.

11:05 A.M.-11:10 A.M.: Mason finds out he has around 12 hours before the symptoms of his radiation poisoning appear. Tony phones in to tell him of the bombing,

but Mason is less than willing to return to CTU. Wald calls Eddie and tells him where he is. Jack finally reveals himself and retrieves the address from

Eddie. Jack kills Eddie and Chris in a shootout before stealing a car and heading off to find Wald.

11:15 A.M.-11:17 A.M.: Kimberly paces nervously at the hospital while Jack phones in to CTU to give a status report. A doctor tells Kimberly that x-rays

reveal that Megan was abused in the past. The woman suspects Kimberly did it. Palmer is briefed on a possible evacuation of Los Angeles, which would take

over a week. The President refuses to to sign any order, as he knows it will do nothing but cause mass hysteria. Jack calls in to scream at Lynne for not

    evacuating CTU.

11:17 A.M.- 11:21 A.M.: Kate talks to her father and tells him that she hired an investigator to look into Reza's past, as she believes he had been stealing

from the company. Bob downplays it and tells her he had Reza investigated as well, but the investigation turned up nothing. Reza offers to take Kate to

pick up lunch. She tries to get out of it, but Bob convinces her to go.

11:28 A.M.-11:30 A.M.: An ambulance rushes Mason to a hospital as Tony calls in to get his personal password: Hendrix. Mason learns he is not contagious.

11:30 A.M.-11:34 A.M.: Jack arrives at Wald's place and begins to interrogate him. He informs Wald of the Nuclear device, but before Jack can find out who

hired him, a dog attacks him, giving Wald the opportunity to escape and shut himself in a wooden shed. Using a shotgun he grabbed from Wald, Jack shoots

through the door, only to find another steel door behind it.

11:34 A.M.-11:35 A.M.: Carla calls Kimberly and demands she surrender her daughter, all the while attempting to make excuses for her husband. She accuses

Kimberly of kidnapping Megan. Before Carla can get to her car, she finds Gary.

11:40 A.M.-11:42 A.M.: Jack tries to tear through the wall to get to Wald, to no avail. He begins shouting at a camera monitor inside the room to let Wald

    know about the bomb.

11:42 A.M.-11:45 A.M.: On their way to pick up lunch, Reza tells Kate that he knows she doesn't like him. She notices him making a wrong turn. He explains

that he wants to show her something. She panics and jumps out of the car, only to discover moments later that something is a house he bought for Marie

    as a wedding present.

11:45 A.M.-11:47 A.M.: Paula has finally been rescued from the debris. Unfortunately, she has massive internal bleeding, and if she doesn't make it to the

ER, she'll bleed to death. Even though it will kill her, Mason orders the paramedics to revive her, because they need her code to decrypt the data.

11:51 A.M.-11:54 A.M.: Palmer confronts Lynne for not telling him about the thirty minute lead she had on the CTU bombing, and learns that Rayburn also

knew. He tells her that he still trusts her, and asks that she tell him everything.

11:54 A.M.-11:57 A.M.: Tony has a crisis of conscience, because although he believes Mason was right about reviving Paula, he feels guilty about it. Palmer

has the Secret Service escort Rayburn to his office so that he can fire him.
  • I wonder whats happened to them?

This episode reveals the fate of CTU and thank god Tony is not dead. I actually thought he was dead when Michelle found his body, but fortunately she had mistaken him for someone else. It seems Paula is in a bad way though, but she's only been in four episodes, so we haven't had a lot of time to get attached to her. I felt sorry for Tony though, he feels really bad about Paula being injured.

And thank god Palmer has fired Eric Rayburn. I'm very glad to see the back of him, he was nasty to Lynne and she didn't deserve it. I'm glad Palmer didn't let her resign cos shes seems okay. Jack totally owned her though on the phone.

The phone conversations between George and Tony were the highlight of the episodes for me. I couldn't help but feel sorry for George, he probably felt as though he's not the only one whos got a problem when he found out that CTU has been bombed. But I also understood what Tony saying too, I mean he knows nothing about whats just happened with George.

I liked Jacks plot in this episode very much as the way he took down Eddie and his goons was great. The ending was like 'oh my god' as well. But I'm not completely surprised that the ***** is back.

Quote of the hour! Jack Bauer: "I'll do my job!! You people better start doing yours."
  • After the classic episode that was 10am to 11am, the show still keeps on the exciting and thrilling track.

Lets face it. There are very few episodes that are ever going to top the bombing of CTU. But the immeadiate aftermath is still 24 at it's best. The place is a ruin, and the death numbers just keep rising. Fortunately, Tony and Michelle are unhurt, while Puala, (I admitt I was kind of glad to see her get pretty hurt), is injuried and stuck under some rubble. Great job showing the aftermath of the bomb. It really looks like a hell zone. When George shows up is really great. He tries to act as if nothing has happened to him, yet he pretty much knows he's going to be dead by the next day. His cemistry with Tony in some of these scenes is top knoch. Great CTU stuff. Meanwhile, Kim and Megan happened to be at CTU at boom time. So from all the dead people and chaos, Megan faints and goes into shock or something like that (do we really care?)

Then at the OC, the president is dealing with the after math of the bomb as well. And boy, he isn't to happy with Mr. Raybrun either. I love when Haysbert fires people. Just makes he feel good I geuss. Then there's Jack. Ohhhh Jack, such as badass. After he pretty much assisted with the bombing of his work, Jack knows he has to finish this. His scenes with Wald's crew and Wald himself are excelent. And he does some pretty niffy stuff with a shot gun. Great Jack episode.

Then there's the ending, which happens to be one of the best endings to any episode ever. Now if you happen to sh*t yourself, don't worry. Because I pretty much did.

Top 3 moments - Jack taking on Wald's crew, especially when he holds up Eddie. Sick Jack move.

    - Jack's "taking care of" Wald's dog. Classic Jack kill!

    - The OMFG, just sh*t myself, crazy oh snap ending! It got me so pumped for what was next to come!!!

The standoff between Jack and the leader of the gang was both boring, yet intense at the same time. The fact that Nina will once again be returning is so cool considering that Jack Bauer is now on this case. The rest of the episode was average, not much action from anyone other then badass actor Keifer Sutherland. The storyline with Kim took a turn for the worse as bringing the little girl to the hospital wasn't at all dramatic or exciting. All this being said, the episode was still good...just doesnt rank up there with some of my other 24 favorites.

George Mason becomes patriotic after getting a death sentence from radioactive powder. As soon he gets back to CTU, he orders the medics to revive Paula who is seriously injured so she can tell them how to retrieve some data from their computer servers. David Palmer is infuriated by Eric's actions about the CTU attack. Kim takes Megan to the hospital, thinking everything will be fine there, but the hospital staff thinks that she's been hurting Megan and gets police to arrest her. Jack locates the leader of the criminal gang and tries to find out how he got the information about CTU. This episode is awesome.
  • A slower paced setup episode that I really enjoyed. This episode had one of the most kickass endings of any 24 episode ever as well.

After the perfection that was Episode 3 of the second season, they needed to slow things down just a bit. While they didn't slow it down much, they did enough to build on the rest of the season very nicely.

    Pros

-Great makeup on the people in the CTU explosion.

-I really liked evil Eric Rayburn.

-Great acting by Xander Berkeley and great dialogue for George Mason. His reaction to being told the symptoms was heartbreaking and him telling Tony his password was "hendrix" made me laugh out loud.

-I also loved Michelle Forbes in this episode.

-Jack singlehandedly taking out Wald's crew was very nice. Season 2 really built upon and solidified Jack Bauer as a TV badass for the ages. It continued Jack's mania in a great way that built off of him taking out the Drazens at the end of Season 1.

-Jack sneaking up on Wald and taking his shotgun was even more badass if that's possible. I loved him actually killing the dog which is a rarity on TV and then actually shooting the shotgun on Wald's door later.

-Nice fakeout with Reza taking Kate to his new house.

-Awesome dilemma with Mason waking up Paula to get the code to the file on the nuke.

-A holy ****ing **** ending with Jack seeing Nina in the pictures from Wald. I didn't see that coming at all and was absolutely blown away when I recognized her.

    Cons

-Why the hell didn't Kim just tell the doctor what she was doing with getting Megan away from Gary?

-Stupid dialogue by Bob Warner. Seemed very fake and TVish.

-The start of the Tony and Michelle relationship that weakened some parts of this season. While I liked their relationship in Season 3, it dragged down a lot of CTU stuff this year. However, I shouldn't say that it hurt this particular episode though.
