It is interesting to note that when Kingley's crew were down in the basement of the urgent care clinic, no one could hear Jack's screams when being tortured by Ronnie.
In the season 1 episode, 2:00-3:00 A.M., Jack changes his shirt revealing (Kiefer's real life) upper arm tattoos. In this episode, the tattoos are missing, covered in foundation make up.
Kingsley: Look let's not waste each other's time, trying to bridge our differences, okay? There's only one thing that we need to agree on -- a price.
Jack: I already gave you my answer.
Kingsley: When Ronnie's finished working on you, you'll give me another.
Jack: No, my answer's final.
Kingsley: Ronnie!!
Jack: I think he wants to talk to you.
Ronnie: I heard what he said. I'll get you your answer.
Kingsley: This man, Bauer. I've read his file.
Ronnie: So have I.
Kingsley: Then you know he won't be easy to break.
Ronnie: He'll break.
Kingsley: Well, I appreciate your confidence.
Ronnie: I've earned it.
The writers originally planned to use O'Hara as Jack's tormentor in this episode, but they decided to use the character of Ronnie Stark instead, saving O'Hara's action for the next hour.
This episode received minor controversy (mostly due to Jack's torture scene) from the Parents Television Council (an anti-violence/sex/language organization), being named the least family-friendly program on television that week.
