Palmer plot administration continues to be interesting, with Lynne trying to escape. Her final scene was Excellent. Aeron has is share of participation too that was good.

Jack Scenes was very well made, more tortured and Jack kills them in a excellent way.

One more temporary character is dead. Kate is in dangerous. Chapelle, the bad guy of CTU is back to be annoying and to complicate things for JAck Bauer.

Tony Last Scene with carrie and Chapelle was Good.

Overral, a great episode, with interesting Scenes, and some great Tensions.

Oh.. Jack is dead but soon back to life and that would not stop him and by the end of episode, he is running around with gun and shooting everyone without a trouble.

So, the other storylines. Kate seems to do everything she can and ofcourse putting herself into danger. The whole thing with Palmer's administration was really exciting this time. I think this is one of the few times I have said it. But it really was. That poor woman who fell in stairs and then was taken to hospital.. her fight to escape.. and later try to say but not been able.

And Tony taking his stand against Chapelle. So good episode.
  • Not a lot happens but it's still a pretty good episode.

    "Good"
Not a lot happens really, and by the end of the episode not much has changed since the start of the episode. advance much in this episode. Chappelle and Carrie continue to be a pain at CTU; Palmer is still unaware of what Mike and Prescott are up to; Jack and Kate still haven't got the chip.

Jack does escape from the torturers though. I was pleased that the doctor didn't get killed too. I bet that doctor thought to himself 'didn't I see this man an hour ago digging his hand inside a dead mans body?' lol. Overall, those scenes were the best ones of the episode and the way O'Hara dies is ownage.

Then Jack finds an injured Yusuf and he dies =[ that was really sad, he didn't deserve it. I hope he kills those red necks.... I can't believe how quickly Jack has managed to recover from all that torture, but I guess thats Jack.

I liked Tony in this episode because he completely owned Carrie when she was trying to blackmail him. I'm very glad that he is back to his normal self and that he's stopped being the 'annoying' Tony. Chappelle has taken that role from him now. Grrr, lol. In CTU there is always someone you want to slap, isn't there?

And Lynne...oh my god, the silly spoiler on the dvd gave that away. I loved the moment when she was about to point her finger at Mike whos just there, hovering in the background, looking all guilty behind Palmer's back. And then he makes a clever move by grabbing her hand, and making it look like he's a caring one. Tut tut.

Quote of the hour! Ryan Chappelle: "Don't thank me. I just don't have anyone to take your place right now."

    "Good"
While nothing is that bad about the episode, nothing is that outstanding either. The combined tension makes for relatively good television, but nearly every individual storyline is filler.

The two big stories are centered on: 1) Jack, who comes back to life, escapes the torture, and saves Kate from the rednecks, and 2) Palmer, who's just lounging around while Prescott and Novick make their devious arrangements behind his back.

Some nice, albeit slightly comical, drama when Lynne tries to make an escape and ends up falling several floors. What will ever become of her? Will she survive the fall or succumb to the damage? Since she's never mentioned again, I guess the writers don't care.

Ryan Chappelle the hardheaded bureaucrat from S1 returns, because both Tony and Michelle are now on Jack's side, and there's gotta be somebody at CTU to help Carrie cause problems for the protagonists while not turning into strict antagonists.

Again, there's nothing really special about this installment; it just doesn't seem to click. Though there are a few standout moments that a newcomer would probably cherish, I myself, being a longtime "24" fan, feel that a lot of aspects of this particular hour could've been skipped. But you know what? Points for trying.

    Hourly Highlight:

    Jack killing Raymond O'Hara.

Another very solid episode from the end of the second season. I think that Kim bauer being written off the show is a great thing, giving more time to the three main storylines at hand. Jacks situation at the beginning of the episode was pulse pounding to watch and I loved every second of it, from him continuing to be tortured and his eventual escape that leds him back to Kate Warner once again to try and find the chip. The action scene at the house was great and I cant wait to see how it all concludes in the next episode. I was hoping the White House conspracy would be resolved in this episode, but it looks like we will have to wait for next episode until we get to that. The situation at CTU I also thought was very well done. I really like Ryan Chapelles character and I think that he plays it very well. Having someone on the inside to force a little friction is great and I like the on screen connection between Tony Almedia and Ryan. Hopefully it continues as the season winds down to the final four episodes...

Jack gets tortured by a death squad, but he might have found someone who could help him. Lynne gets into an unfortunate accident as he tries to warn Palmer of an attempt to unseat him from office. Chappelle pays a visit at CTU and gets in the way of Tony and Michelle. Kate goes to her house in hopes of getting the chip back from the racist guys who killed Yusuf. This episode is so exciting, it builds up the excitement from last week. I really had a good time with this episode, the storyline is brilliantly done, it's well written.
  • Average episode with a few standout spots. DAMN THOSE REDNECKS!

    "Mediocre"
Not much really happened at all in this episode to advance the point and that's part of the reason I was disappointed. I was sad to see Yusuf die though. He was a very good character.

    Pros

-I was impressed that the writers took a risk and shifted the show away from Jack for a couple of episodes starting with this one and put Palmer in the spotlight. While it didn't really pay off in this episode, it definitely did in the next episode and to a certain extent the one after it.

-I really liked the doctor that saved Jack's life.

-I loved how everything that could go wrong with Mike covering up the Cabinet meeting went wrong in this episode. It was hilarious to watch his string of bad luck with Palmer walking in on him on the phone to Lynne falling down the stairs.

-Holy God, I wanted to murder those rednecks myself. I felt so bad for Yusuf, especially when he finally reached the phone only to find that all the circuits were busy.

-Great acting by Kiefer Sutherland. He nailed these brutal scenes.

-You know, there were never so many characters that I've wanted to kill in these episodes. I despised Carrie. I despised Chappelle. I despised the rednecks. I despised Prescott.

-The triumphant return of Aaron Pierce! I love him so much.

-Awesome Splinter Cell maneuver to draw the baddies inside the room to kill them by Jack.

-Slickest move ever when Mike put his hand over Lynne's accusing finger when she was going into the ambulance. I thought that was genius.

-I thought it was hilarious that the redneck didn't know what a euro was.

    -Very cool ending with Prescott.

    Cons

-Nice going with the preview shot of this episode DVD makers. Geez...

-Even though I did like the writers taking a risk with shifting over to Palmer in this episode, I didn't like the lack of Jack. As much as I love Palmer, Jack Bauer is this show, not President Palmer.

-Crappy editing in this episode. Some of the worst I've seen on 24.

-There wasn't too much stuff that happened in this episode of any value. Pretty much a filler episode.

-Tony was an idiot by not doing what Carrie said for him to do. He should've just been blackmailed and left it that.

-Predictable and a little too convenient that Jack would show up at Kate's house right before the rednecks killed her. How did he know where she lived anyway? Oh well, it still worked I guess.
