With the fall of the Airplane, the things get much more interesting.

Palmer administration conspiracy reaches Jack, Because someone unkown wants to kill Him and Nina.

This make some good action Scenes, which is exactly what I like.

Tony and Michelle discovered that Mason was exposed.

Kim scenes was again boring, at least, megan is gone.

Sherry vs Lynne continues in this episode, nothing special.

Syed Ali make is apperance too and Kate is now in a dangerous situation. First time that Kate plot is a little interesting.

The Final Scenes with Jack Baur, Nina Myers and David Palmer was one of the most great and Sad scenes ever made.Palmer do a great act here.

This is a 9 episode, because of the Amazing Final Scenes.
  • Change in control...

Mm.. Nina really takes things on her hand this episode. I most say I loved the sequence after the plain crash. Jack going over the crashsite.. finding Nina and they then trying to survive. The scene where Jack was shooting and Nina telling where.. it showed how well they were working together. Bring backs memories from season 1.

Also what came next. Nina taking control and her bargain with Palmer.. and how Jack took it. Very noble and all the drama and tension.. it was just so good and refreshing, something really intense. I think it has been maybe best if not, then second best episode of the season so far for me.
  • revealing episode.

4:02 P.M.-4:06 P.M.: Things are running amok inside the President's retreat. Palmer barges in on Sherry, demanding to know how Ron Wieland was let out of

custody. Mike shows him a video of Armus letting Ron out of his room. Jack's and Nina's plane is careening towards the ground at a rapid pace after being

hit by a surface-to-air missile. Jack wants to know the location of the bomb, but even with the plane going down, Nina refuses to answer. The man assigned

to protect Nina, Rick Phillips, draws his gun and threatens to kill her if she doesn't tell them where the bomb is. Jack gives Mason the coordinates of

the riverbed where the plane is supposed to land, while he, Phillips and Mason try unsuccessfully to get Nina to reveal the bomb's location. The pilot

announces that the plane is going down now and there is no way they can make it to the riverbed, but the phone cuts out before Jack can give Mason their

    new coordinates.

4:06 P.M.-4:08 P.M.: The President apologizes to Sherry for jumping to conclusions about Ron, and lets her know who did let him out. She advises him to

tell the truth about the bomb issue. Mike informs them that the plane Jack was on has crashed.

4:08 P.M.-4:11 P.M: Jack tumbles out of the plane into a field of debris, and pulls a tree branch from his leg. He starts his search for survivors, and

finds Phillips, badly injured. Jack promises to get him help, and then finds Nina still chained to her seat. She isn't breathing. He gives her mouth to

    mouth, and revives her.

4:16 P.M.-4:16 P.M.: Michelle shows Mason satellite photos of the missile that was fired at Jack's plane.

4:16 P.M.-4:19 P.M.: When Tony won't stop badgering him, Mason finally tells him that he has less than a day to live. Tony apologizes for being such a jerk.

Bob and Reza have been put into the same holding room. Mason barges in, and starts the investigation by yelling at Reza for claiming not to know Syed Ali.

He mentions the nuclear bomb, and gives them a Bill of Lading found at the warehouse that proves a container was sent to Ali. Bob looks at it, and sees

it's from his company. Mason promises immunity to the first one to come clean, and leaves them alone to let the offer sink in.

4:19 P.M.-4:21 P.M.: The arresting officer informs Miguel and Kimberly that he is taking them back to LA -- and not to CTU either. When the kids voice their

disapproval, the cop tells them that there is no elevated threat status. Kimberly promises Miguel that her father will fix things up. Miguel laughs that

promise off, claiming that she was right when she told him Jack was messed up. Kimberly says those comments were misplaced anger towards her father over

    the death of her mother.

4:21 P.M.-4:23 P.M.: Reza asks Bob if he has anything to hide, and the two soon get into an argument. Via a voice-monitoring system, Mason and Tony both

see that Reza's voice levels are steady, while Bob's are all over the place. Reza scolds Bob for lying to him. To get even, he tells CTU that he can track

the shipping order and find out who authorized the transfer to Ali. Security guards have to restrain Bob, who can't control his rage over Reza's announcement.

4:28 P.M.-4:30 P.M.: Michelle asks Tony if Mason is sick, correctly surmising that he got radiation poisoning. Tony affirms that he is. She tells him that

she wants Mason to step down, but Tony says he will watch him -- which isn't what Michelle wanted to hear.

4:30 P.M.-4:31 P.M.: Sherry gives Lynne revision notes that she made for the President's speech about Ron. Lynne begins shouting at her for sticking her

nose in where it doesn't belong, and refuses to so much as look at them.

4:31 P.M.-4:33 P.M.: Jack and Nina begin to leave the crash site, only to be interrupted by a group of camouflaged soldiers. The soldiers' first act is

to execute Rick. One of the men spots Jack, but Jack fires a flare gun at him and steals his machine gun and ammunition. Jack and Nina then flee the scene.

He undoes her cuffs, and hands her the ammo so she can run recon for him.

4:33 P.M.-4:35 P.M.: Kate is awoken by her kidnapper, who reveals himself to be Syed Ali. He grabs her, and takes her to a soundproof room where Paul Koplin

is chained up naked. Ali's assistant stands next to Paul with an electric sander. After the pair plead that they didn't see anything, the assistant turns

on the sander and uses it on Paul. Paul screams.

4:40 P.M.-4:43 P.M.: Jack and Nina are under fire. She throws him another pack of ammo, and he takes down another of his pursuers. She hides the final ammo

pack in her pants. A CTU search and rescue chopper moves in, and takes out the remaining baddies. Jack forgetfully leaves his rifle on the ground, giving

Nina the opportunity to grab the weapon and hold him up. She demands to talk to the President, and orders the search and rescue guys to stand down.

4:43 P.M.-4:45 P.M.: Megan and Kimberly are finally reunited, albeit only for a few minutes, as Megan's aunt is at the station waiting to collect her. Megan

tells Kimberly that her aunt lives in Santa Barbara, which would place her 100 miles from LA -- and well out of the bomb's range. Megan and Kimberly both

cry, but only Megan's are tears of sadness.

4:45 P.M.-4:48 P.M.: Reza is about to be taken to his father's office when he asks to have a word with Marie first. Mason grants his wish. Marie tells Reza

that a lawyer is on his way over. He tells her not to worry and about anything, then informs her that Bob may be connected to Ali. An incredulous and disgusted

Marie walks away from Reza, upset that he turned on her father.

4:52 P.M.-4:57 P.M.: Nina finally gets in touch with Palmer's office, and Palmer asks Mike to screen the call. Nina tells the President that she will say

where the bomb is in exchange for immunity for a crime she has not yet committed -- the murder of Jack Bauer. Palmer places her on hold, so he can ask

CTU if Nina has any weaknesses they can exploit. Mason informs him that she has none, and she's hellbent on killing Jack, or else he'll kill her. Jack

then tells Palmer that Nina is their only link to finding the bomb, and he should give her what she wants. The President promises Nina will get her pardon,

but only after the bomb is uncovered. Nina then tells them where it is. Palmer asks Jack if there's anything he'd like for him to do. Jack wants him to

make sure Kimberly is safe. Palmer chokes back tears, even with Mike saying that he did the right thing.

4:57 P.M.-5:00 P.M.: Palmer is escorted to the Press Corps. As he exits the room, he acknowledges to Lynne the changes made in the speech, and tells her

that it is better. Ali's assistant continues to torture Paul. A hysterical Kate insists she knows nothing. Ali says he believes her, then pulls out a gun,

kills Paul, and orders his assistant to kill Kate. The President makes his way to the Press Corps, as Nina holds Jack at gunpoint.

Jack's storyline rivets once again as he and Nina survive the plane wreckage and must fight off mysterious commandos who are trying to kill them for some reason. While Jack's activities for this hour are essentially filler, it really heightens the already high tension between him and Nina, not only because they're forced to work together to stay alive, but because once the main gunfire is over, Nina adds to her list of betrayals to Jack in a very interesting way.

We finally get to meet Syed Ali, seeing as how he's kidnapped Kate. That alone gives this episode a point, but knowing what happens in later hours, it seems like too little, too late.

Palmer finds out who let Wieland out, but I don't think it's even worth mentioning since this plot point is barely brought up ever again. Rather, the big highlight of the Palmer storyline comes near the hour's end. Some very nice drama arises when Palmer tearfully and reluctantly gives Nina an advance pardon for killing Jack. Of course, even a first-time viewer is all but certain that Jack will get out of this situation alive, but the performances of Sutherland, Clarke, and especially Haysbert in this scene are nonetheless a treat.

What's Kim up to? Do I care?

    Hourly Highlight:

"This is what Jack Bauer uses to kill someone when he doesn't have a regular gun in his hand."

    (buzz) "A flare gun!"

"Ooh, sorry, you didn't answer in the form of a question."

    "#$@%!"
  • David Palmer was amazing in this episode.

This is one of the best episodes in the first half of the season, it was a pure genius with that clever twist with Nina Myers taking Jack hostage. The acting of David Palmer in this episode was the best I've ever seen from him by far.

My god, it was so good how he cried over Jack. This moment really does a great job of showing how much Jack means Palmer.

The introduction of Syed Ali was unexpected and cleverly done, it turns out he was the one who kidnapped Kate and Paul Koplin. The scenes of Paul Koplin being tortured were shocking and painful to watch and Kate is now becoming more of a interesting character now shes caught in a horrible situation.

Quote of the hour! Nina Myers: "I'll tell you where the bomb is in exchange for immunity." Mike Novick: "The President's already granted you a total pardon." Nina Myers: "Except this is a crime I haven't committed yet." Mike Novick: "What crime?" Nina Myers: "The murder of Jack Bauer."

The best episode of the season, hands down. Lots of Jack and Nina made this a great episode. Watching them work together was refreshing and then seeing her turn on him was even better. I loved the way she put her non-negotable terms to the president - saying she wanted the future pardon for the murder of Jack Bauer. That was one of the most intense scenes I think I have ever watched. Not to mention JAck bauer is still a badass taking out all those solidgers. The police station scene with Kim and the little girl was good, even though Kim STILL hasnt moved for like the 3rd episode in a row now. However, the emotions between Kim and the little girl were great and it made it a memorable scene nonetheless.

George Mason puts Bob Warner and Reza in the same room and see which one of them have something to do with the terrorist. Kate is kidnapped by the terrorists and gets interrogated by Syed Ali. After the FBI jet crashes, Jack and Nina teams up briefly so they can kill a group of rotten commandoes who are trying to kill them. But CTU sends in some help. Just as they are out of trouble, Nina switches to her evil side and holds Jack hostage. There's great action in this episode, I really had a good time watching this. it's awesome.
  • This amazing episode saw Jack and Nina as both friend and foe and had probably the best interaction between the two ever.

Not a lot to say about this fantastic episode. Pretty straightforward and kickass.

    Pros

-Yes! Intense Palmer! Intense Palmer is always the best Palmer.

-Jack pulling the piece of metal out of his leg = win.

-*Fantastic* confrontation between Lynn and Sherry.

-Spectacular fight between Nina and Jack and the Coral Snakes. I loved Jack's flare gun kill and the teamwork the two of them had for a brief time.

-Great twist with Kate meeting up with Syed Ali. Perfect way to finally truly tie the Warner storyline into the main plot, even though I guess it already was in a way before.

-Shockingly intense scenes with Paul Koplin getting tortured in a way nobody has ever been tortured on this show before, except Jack possibly later in the season. It was really jaw-dropping at how graphic it was.

-An absolute wow at Nina taking Jack hostage out of the blue.

-I enjoyed Marie finally getting upset with Reza. I really never did see what was coming in the next episode.

-Oh snap at Nina asking for immunity for the future murder of Jack Bauer.

-Good acting by Sarah Wynter in this episode. Finally.

-Pretty nice foreshadowing in the ending. You were definitely anticipating the next episode.

    Cons

-This isn't the episode's fault, but what were the DVD makers thinking when they put one of the main twists of this episode in the main picture for this episode? Way to give it away for people that hadn't seen the episode before. They do this too often to list though...
  • A great hour of 24

This is one of my favorites of Season 2. Mainly because of the fight Jack, Nina - whom Jack saved by giving mouth to mouth to which was crazy to watch after Nina Killed His Wife - and the soldiers. Meanwhile while this was going on one of the more disturbing parts in the show that i can remember was when the man helping Kate Warner was being tortured. That was sick and I felt really sorry for the guy. Sherry still sucks. The best part of the is episode was when Nina outsmarted Jack and held him at gunpoint. I don't know why but everytime i watch the part with Palmer and Jack I get choked up. It was a great performance by Dennis and Kiefer. Great episode.
