  • Just Listen to Imam Fulani's Said

I'm Muslim person from Muslim Country. I love this episodes so much because of Imam Fulani's explained, that Syed Ali doing is not recommended by Islam, Qur'an, and Muhammad. Two thumbs up for that, good scenario.

I hope, American and Western people will be understand clearly with that statement. Since this episode, i started to know that all producers of 24 must be don't have any agenda related to Muslim and Islamic Communities.

Honestly, since episodes 1 (season 2) I was very sceptical with the point of view, because all arabic actors roles as terrorist. It's very hurt me as a Muslim.
  • One more Torture!!!!

They finally caught Syed ALi in this episode and it tis very clear that the writers wanted to buil the all packed -» Syed Ali is caught, tortured and with his family threatened he finally talks the Bomb Location. These Scenes were good.

Removing this, nothing relevant really happens, not even in the Palmer Plot administration where Sherry play with Lynne.

  • Higher stakes...

    9.1
    "Superb"
This episode was intense. It was really good. That kind of 24 episodes I love. First the Jack storyline as it was the main thing. The Ali and his talk with that priest about his motives. Then Kate making the call to her sister and the way she acted and how Kate's father told about Marie... And then Jack making stakes higher and bringing in Ali's family and ordering to kill his son. On that moment I was so shocked. But it was and act.

I most say I did not like Palmer's storyline. they have been doing nothing all time. And Sherry is annoying.
  • God, this is intense.

The interrogation of Syed Ali was so brutal and intense. Jack knew that threatening and torturing Syed Ali was not going to affect him so he decides to take his family hostage. This plan was so unpredictable, I did not see it coming for a minute because I never believed Jack would be willing to go so far.

I knew David Palmer wouldn't approve of it, so I wasn't surprised there. I agreed with him totally, I was like 'yes, listen to him, Jack!' I liked his conversation with Mike on the subject matter very much.

When Jack killed Syed Ali's son, I was gobsmacked. Actually, I was so mad that I even threatened to never watch the show again. But when I found out that the whole thing was an act, it made me realise how cleverly plotted this episode actually was. So far in the show nothing has ever made as anxious as that so therefore this episode is probably the most intense episode of the season for me.

Quote of the hour! Jack Bauer: "The only way you're going to die today is if I kill you."
  • Well, isn't this familial?

Jack Bauer's first threat of a bad guy's family. This is truly a landmark in "24" history. When I first watched the promo for this episode and heard Jack threatening to kill Ali's son, I thought to myself, "Cool." It's even funnier when you take into account how Jack's family was threatened in S1.

Another reason I've labeled this episode "pivotal" is that Jack, along with the audience, finally gets the location of the nuclear bomb: Norton Airfield. This sets the stage for some great episodes to follow.

Now you may be wondering why, with all my praise, this episode is only ranked an 8. First off, there's the Kim Bauer subplot. What, I forgot to tell you? Most episodes in S2 automatically get a point docked because of that. Plus, there's the whole meeting between Lynne and Sherry, which is horribly theatrical. I'm barely sure what the hell it's even about.

But forget all that; Jack and Ali's top-notch scenes together drive the episode hellaciously. If you, for some weird reason, can only follow one storyline while watching this episode and must skip all the other scenes, make sure that you follow the mosque!

    Hourly Highlight:

Watching Ali's son get shot is a giddy experience, even with the revelation that Jack didn't really kill him. And about that…what a frickin' gyp! Why do I watch this show if not for its constant line-crossing?

Jacks Story- Always the best and this episode didnt change that. I like the intensity that was shown in all of his scenes and once again I thought the onscreen connection between Kate Warner and Jack was the best of the episode. The White House scenerio got a little interesting towards the end when Sherry Palmer met Lynn instead of the contact that she was supposed to be meeting. I dont know if I should believe Sherry or not, but what she said seemed to be credable. With the 12th episode of the season now over, things are coming to a very fast and rapid close. It seems that the next episode will handle the bomb situation with Marie Warner, so I wonder what the second threat will be once CTU is able to stop that...if they are able to stop that it is. Overall this was a really good episode, exactly what one would expect from 24...
  • great episode.

Jack Bauer finds Syed Ali in an underground tunnel beneath the mosque. He sneaks in and catches him. George Mason interviews Bob Warner back at CTU, he tries to learn how Marie ended up helping the terrorists. Kim goes into a bunker after being rescued by a hunter. Little does she know that this hunter have plans of imprisoning her inside the bunker. This is another fun episode. The action scenes are awesome, the acting is superb. Marie's twisted personally finally goes to the surface. Her innocence ceases to exist, from this point on she's bad, her transformation is amazing on screen.
  • This episode was so good, it marked the first time I ever actually talked about an episode of 24 with someone.

Pure intensity in this episode. Great fakeout with Ali's kids. I'll never forget how I felt when I thought Jack had had Ali's son killed. Mmmmm, that's good TV.

By the way, the imam was both a pro and a con. There was something fundamentally good about that man, but his scenes couldn't help but come off as anything but PC garbage.

    Pros

-Jack's stealth capture of Ali was awesome. The whole scene was freaking intense. I loved how Jack was able to get the cyanide out of Ali's mouth.

-Good character scene between Mason and Bob Warner about Marie. However, some of the dialogue was phony sounding.

-Harris Yulin did a masterful job at acting during his torture scenes.

-Every single second that the show's focus was on Jack and Ali, it was captivating. The raw intensity, the sound effects of bones being snapped...wow.

-I *loved* Marie's freaky facial ticks in this episode. Good scene between her and Kate on the phone. However, my God, could Kate be anymore annoying?

-"The only way you're gonna die today is if I kill 'ya."--Line of the episode by far by Jack

-When Jack threatened Ali's kids, my jaw dropped. I absolutely could not believe it. To show you the effect Jack Bauer has on the way you think, I was even thinking that Jack was doing the right thing (not knowing what all was going on.) It was an all-time amazing and shocking moment when Jack actually had Assad Ali "executed."

-I loved Sherry's pimp hat in her meeting with Sherry. Michelle Forbes acted the hell out of her scene with Sherry.

-Great music in the last few minutes when we found out where the nuke was at.

-Jack not even saying a word to reveal to Kate what he had really done with Ali's kids was vintage Jack.

    Cons

-I didn't like Tony being a dick and looking for Kim even though she was outside of the blast radius. Mason was absolutely right and Tony was absolutely wrong.

-Oh God...Lonnie. Just when you thought Kim's storyline couldn't get any worse...it did.

-The Sherry/Lynn meeting made no sense and slowed down the episode a lot.
