  • Norton Airfield: Part 1

Further exposition comes when Stanton finally cracks under those electric paddles and tells Palmer how NSA let the nuke into the country and assigned Coral Snake to track it in an attempt to tighten America's foreign policy. Well, the writers drew that story arc out long enough—let's move on to what Jack's doing at Norton Airfield.Of course, the nuke had to be stored in a large place like an airfield because the writers wanted to devote as many hours as they could to the hunt. But it's all good, because the level of suspense is damn high. Those Coral Snake commandos that Stanton mentioned? We're led to expect a big firefight between them and CTU, but when Jack finds the six commandos, they're all dead. Meaning that he no longer has the option to ask them where the nuke is. Eerie. We later learn that there were actually seven of those Coral Snake guys. And that's how the hour weaves one of the first threads that will lead into what happens after the nuke is disposed of. But the nuke is still in play at this moment, and Jack's still gotta find it. And he does! But it's a decoy. Kinda cheap, writers. Kinda cheap. Hourly Highlight:Jack stopping Omar from taking off with the "nuke." A multi-vehicle chase on the tarmac is always good, especially if there's gunfire involved.moreless
  • They Haven´t Found Anything!!!!!!!

Roger Stanton finally Talks and come with some big revelations.

With Jack and The Cobra Unit looking for the Bomb, you could expect some action, but there are a surprise, that make this conspiracy more complex than already are.

Mason Scenes was onlu meant to buy some time, the same goes for Kim and that Strange lonely guy. What he wants it is very clear.

Jack thought that they found the bomb, but things are not soo easy. Roger reveal sherry involvement in this to Palmer and this should be interesting.

  • Trying to find a nuke...

So.. search for nuke is on. Marie is on the airfield and soon the CTU will be there too. First it looks like they are going to clash with those men who have snakes on their arms, but no - they are dead. Then it looks like they will get nuke - no.. it is a decoy. So most of the episode is about running after things what are not true.

The other major thing happening is Kim who gets to that man's house and it starts to get weird and I am so sure she is just stepping into bigger trouble. That what she has been doing always..moreless
  • Now it's the search for the nuke!!

The storyline involving the nuclear bomb is now getting deeper, so therefore my expectations are getting higher, and I don't think it delivered as well as I felt it could have.

I really didn't like how the bomb ended up being a fake at the end. I was not impressed because it made the episode even more of a filler than it already was. But it was quite a twist when Jack found the dead bodies, it was unexpected, but even more unexpected when we found out that a member of their own team killed them. This piece of information becomes so important in the second half of the season.

The situation in CTU with Brad Hammond coming over from Division was slightly boring, but in some ways it was revealing considering we get to see the major effects of George Mason's condition in this episode. When Hammond grabbed his arm you could see the pain in George's eyes, ouch ouch.

The highlight of the episode was when Stanton finally confesses to Palmer and admits that Sherry is involved in the conspiracy, that was definitely the best moment of the season so far with the Palmer storyline.

Quote of the hour! Lynne Kresge: "Fine, you don't want to play games? I don't like you. And I don't like you being here."moreless
  • Review

Nothing really happened over at CTU. I thought that Mason and Tony would head over to the airfield, but apprently not.

ack and his men prepare for a confrontation with Stanton's renegade soldiers as they converge on the bomb. I thought that this episode would be much more intense then it was, it almost seemed like a filler episode and I thought that the bomb might be detonated in this hour or stopped, which it was not. Kim becomes suspicious of her host, but is forced to stay because of her status with the police.- This storyline is kind of old all ready, the guy is really wierd and Kim is likely stuck there for the time being. I wish they had just writeen her character off instead of giving her these scenes that take away from the intensity that Jack brings and the conpirarcy that is going on in Los Angeles itself. Stanton breaking down- intense scene, likely the best of the season. It was a good episode, just not what I was expecting at this point...moreless

    • Lonnie: Check it out...I'm kind of a coffee junkie. I could pretty much handle anything, but I gotta have my java!

    • Palmer: Roger, your men are all dead, and there's no sign of the bomb.
      Stanton: (stuttering) That...That's not possible!
Palmer: Your insane plan backfired! Those men were our last chance to find the bomb, and now they're dead!
      Stanton: My God...
Palmer: you're misguided, Roger, but you are not crazy. You do not want this bomb to go off!
      Stanton: Of course not!
Palmer: Then tell me...who else could have known about this?!
Stanton: No one, they were on their own.
Palmer: Somebody killed six highly trained commandos. Now that doesn't sound like the work of a bunch of suicide bombers!
      Stanton: You said six commandos?
      Palmer: That's right.
      Stanton: There were seven.

    • Mason: Division is a little uncomfortable with the idea of us running an operation like this out of a compromised location.
Tony: We just don't have time to give these idiots from Division a grand tour.
      Mason: I know.
Tony: We're closing in on this.
Mason: They're on their way so you just gotta deal with it.

    • Lynne: Fine, you don't want to play games? I don't like you. And I don't like you being here.
      Sherry: Well, now we're communicating.

    • Palmer: You're trying to hijack my Presidency.
Stanton: No, but I'd like to give it some balls.
