  • Realizing the danger, Jack reluctantly agrees to assist CTU. Elsewhere Kim once again gets into a bad situation.

Like the previous episode, this one worked pretty much on every level. It's always a real treat to see Jack on the job. Though he was out of CTU for over a year, he gets right back into things without missing a beat. His scenes with George Mason are just plain terrific. Very believable with sharply written dialogue. As far as Kim's situation is concerned, I don't see it as necessary. I will say Billy Burke does very well in his role as the abusive father. So well in fact that you almost believe he is as insane as his character is. To get back to Kim's dilemma, at least this time around she is taking initiative in trying to save herself and Megan and not just sitting off the the side whining like she did the previous season. The scene where she knocks out Gary Matheson with a lug wrench was well done. The episode also does a very good job in moving the main story along. The viewers learn more about each of the respective story lines and where they could possibly be heading and does so quite well. Season two started off with not one, but two strong episodes.moreless
  • This is awsome

What an amazing episode this is. Jack is back, and he is angry.
  • Jack goes undercover.

Not much really happened in this episode but the end has set up an interesting third episode with Jack's undercover work leading him to the location which the group are going to target and Jack is with them Kim continues to have problems trying to get a little girl a way from he abusive dad I am sure the story will pick up like it did in season 1.
  • Great Cliffhanger!!!!

The cliffhanger in this Episode was one of the Best that 24 produced until now.

The Best Part of this episode of course is Jack and and his infiltration inside of the eddie group. This created some tenses minutes that was nice.

The problems that Palmer will have to face in his administration continues to be build.

Kim Situation was a little funny, other than that, had no value.

Kate family drama continue to be boring.moreless
  • Troubles already start..

Mm.. Jack is back of being Jack.. Kim is Kim and finding every trouble she possibly could. Everything is back to normal, I would say. So, the story I think is not getting away too quickly and maybe little weaker than season 1 but still good. I most say when at the start of first season, I did not liked Kim's storyline that this year's one is much better.

And Jack is in intriguing position too. I am not sure if I got it right what they are going to do but.. it anyway sounded really well. And the whole wedding and Kate storyline.. I think it looks little off first but soon we will find out more of it.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • As Kim and Megan run away from Gary, why did it not pique the interest of the guys with the van that a grown man was chasing two young girls?

    • Gary unlocked a running vehicle with remote keyless entry. No Lexus vehicle can be unlocked with remote keyless entry while the vehicle is on.

    • Michelle is seen dropping Jack off in a helicopter to retrieve the car for his cover, presumably across town. In the very next scene, she is back at her desk conferring with Tony. If this is real time, that must have been one heckuva chopper ride!

  • QUOTES (6)

    • Jack: Where are we going?
      Eddie: West LA.
      Jack: What are we doing?
      Eddie: Conversion!
Jack: What do you mean a conversion?
Eddie: Well, today we're turning a government building into a cemetery.
      Jack: (laughs) Which building?
Eddie: This branch has been dogging us for years. They call it the LA Counter Terrorist Unit...CTU.
Jack: Good. (looks out window, worried)

    • Eddie: Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah...hey, what's going on? Makin' friends, Jack?
      Jack: Your guy's a moron.

    • Mason: I don't have to tell you that.
Tony: Well, I guess I disagree. I mean if you're just trying to get outside the blast radius.
Mason: Who the hell do you think you are? Do you have access to my information?
      Tony: No, George, I don't.
Mason: Then keep your mouth shut and do your job!

    • Palmer: You're barking up the wrong tree.
Ron Wieland: Well, I don't remember the last time a journalist got a private interview with the President on a few minutes' notice. So my 22 years in the business tells me I'm barking up the right tree.

    • Eddie: You broke his damn ankle, Jack.
Jack: He shouldn't have been playing with adults.

    • Jane: We were told you were going to be spending this morning fishing. What brought you back to shore so early?
Palmer: Already caught my quota for the day. My own conservation policy is coming back to haunt me! (reporters all laugh)

  • NOTES (2)

    • Tamlyn Tomita who plays Jenny Dodge also plays Lt. Commander Manetti in JAG. She is one of many people hired by 24 who have also starred in JAG.

    • During the majority of this season, the 24 on-screen ticking clock appeared during various commercial breaks with an announcer voice saying, "It's a whole new day. Jack will be right back." The clock served to remind viewers that, even though they were watching commercials, time in the 24 universe still continued to tick. The clock was dropped near the end of Season 2 and was not used again.
